i got this guy. seems to work ok skimmer by d&d marine it cost me like 145.00 at the time though and not 180.00 i also my try to add an air pump for more foam. even though it still getes a lot of nasties out of the water. eeeewwwww the smell of skimmer goo.

i just looked at reefslides and saw Acanthastrea, wow in person it really looks like one or two of those slides..... :rock:

it has one mouth, its starting to get some color. it is also a pig will eat anything i put near its mouth. i when i stop the water flow it will start extending its tentacles (sweepers) i guess. the bottom of the coral looked like a cup underneath. when it was jagged and bleached and withdrawn it looked like a Favia skeleton does. if you PM your email ill send you a better pic that is high res, 3 mega pixels Bah for some reason it wont post the new pic even though it is in the wamas gallery and linked to this page.......

I know that experiences are different, but my question is how would you all start stocking fish in your aquarium? i know some fish are territorial, so what should i put in 1st? or should i put some fish in at the same time? any ideas. what we (my wife ) wants is an anenome and some clowns....I have chosen e. quadricolor. I will be starting off with softies but will want hard corals (sps) later, when i rig up the kalk and calcium reactors. thanks in advance, Gary OBTW, i have 2 Mollies in there, using for cycling the tank. their attitude really change from the transition from fresh to salt. but they seem alright now just hide alot more than in freshwater IMO.

yeah call the reef tank they can get it if they dont already have it in stock, call them and let them know how much you need so they can get it for you.

Yeah my Emerald crabs do sky diving from atop the LR and fall about 12" then hook on the bottom of the LR before they hit bottom. kinda like a Matrix thing i guess.

Which bulbs i hear people having problems with the 10k i am using the 20k for a month or 2. So far so good.

Since we are in the midst of make kalk reactors i got curious and checked my alk..... it was low, my ph is at 8.2. so using this link i decided to drip kalk. i am using a 1/2 gallon jug, i picked up some IV pump line with a bubble counter and the little thumb wheel. i got ot for 4 dollars. i used the vinegar method to mix the kalk, measured out 6 teaspoons of vinegar to 1 tsp of kalk, it disolved nicely. then i started the drip. i adjusted it to a real slow drip, i guess 1 drip per minute. any thought on how fast the drip should be. is it a personal preferance or should there be more of an exact measurement? thanks in advance.
