  1. I hear you, but I have an Atlas and SmatFarm G5 here, I've used a G5 over a tank, it's VERY similar to a Noopsyce V2, I've tested all three over a common config, and Quanta's Luca is a MH guy at heart. Aside from the UV and any IR that may make it past the MH's glass, the Atlas is great MH copy. I stole this from Eric Rood's Instagram, but this is a good shot of his growout lit with Quanta Atlas.
  2. Under $1k for two lights means ReeFi, Quanta, Nicrew, Smatfarm, or other brands that offer similar or better spectrum/power offerings for less. Consider that Quanta also offers dimmable bars with three different fixed spectrums to give you what you need. I don't align well with the big name lights, and I will no longer purchase Ecotech, AI, Kessil, etc. I have comparative data on many lights; the spectrum and distribution of light. Let me know if you need data. Jim
  3. Assuming that you haven't seen the Quanta Atlas. Mimics very well the Ushio 14,000K MH. https://www.quanta-lights.com/products/quanta-atlas-sps
  4. @achansek Congrats on getting it going! Getting the PAR meter is a good call, and you might be able to raise the Nicrew up a bit. As for the Nicrew spectrum, set the blue to your PAR needs then add the whites until the tank looks good. Then check PAR again. You may need to drop both channels down.
  5. Way late on this one. Sorry. What direction did you go, Aaron?
  6. This was was the most complete. It's also on my channel.
  7. ...and regarding the Noop, it's a good light, but for the money, a combination of Quanta Pros is better.
  8. You have the option of staying with the form factor and using only LED bars. No programming, no WiFi, just simple on/off like T5. If going that route, you can get excellent coverage and spectrum for a reasonable price. I know Luca, and he was kind enough to allow me to help with his lights. I don't make anything by helping him. I just like what he's doing. He'll be able to recommend a combination of bars that come darn close to ATI Blue Plus. https://www.quantareef.com/
  9. My ICP showed low iodine, too. Interesting. It looks like I've halted the STN/RTN event, as my last remaining tenuis survived mid-STN. Not 100% certain it's over, but fingers crossed. Happy to share my throw the darn kitchen sink at the problem measures. Kind regards, Jim
  10. Thanks! DIY panels on the roof, solar charge controller/automatic transfer switch, LiFePO4 batteries, two generators and my last resort 75kWh car battery. During the summer months, the system runs off the solar/batteries for nearly 16 hours. During the winter, it still does the same, but for about half the time. When not on solar, the power system acts as a typical UPS. Been operating like this for a little over one year.
  11. Thanks, Lynn! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. My assumption is that the Gen 4 isn’t on Mobius, yes? I ask because I’ve tested a Gen 4 on Mobius and a Gen 5 Blue, both of which were running their respective versions of AB+. The spectrometer data is below. PAR was the same. I don’t have a Gen 4 that hasn’t been updated for Mobius, so I can’t share the file. Would the slider positions help? If so, it’s all blue/violet/fake UV sliders to 100%, and the remaining at 24%. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I have three of them attached to various tanks. Bulletproof and recommended. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
