  1. Looks like it's grown a extra leg sense you posted this! And it looks totally amazing! I want a star fish but I want to let my rank mature a bit more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It's not the nicest looking skimmer but people that have built it say it works pretty well. And if it's in the cabinet who care how it looks. http://krob.com/page2/page19/page19.html we ended up just using JB weld on the bottom feed pipe and sealing the collection chamber to the mail cylinder. No leaks so far! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. People on Google are saying JB weld is fine. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. My friend n I are building a protein skimmer and we need to silicone a few parts. Are there any products at Home Depot I can use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. I got in touch with the LFS, they apologized for the confusion and are taking the CC star fish back. In hindsight I might not have been specific that I had a reef tank. No damage to anything in my tank so it's all good. I really would like a star fish so Iv been looking into the Fromia. Thanks again for the awesome help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I was at the LFS and wanted to get a star fish for my tank. I have a 29 gal nano cube, the gentleman at the store recommend the Chocolate ship star fish because it will be a good size for the tank and it will not harm my other tank mates. now Iv been reading some things online that they are not reef safe? I really don't want to loose what I've been working on with my corals. What are you guys thoughts and experiences on this? If they are definitely not reef safe... any one looking for a Star fish?
  8. I'm interested in some of the corals if you want to sell them separate? Where are you located? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. https://www.gofundme.com/hd5bke4n this is my friend he's putting together a campaign for getting new regulations for ocean protection. Watch the video and read the link for all the details. Help if you can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Iv heard that yellow tangs and Mexican turbo snails can help with Red turf algae, but it's more a case by case sort of thing. Also read that taking the effected rocks out and washing them in a 3% peroxide mix can work. I don't know if that would kill other organisms on the rock and cauls an ammonia spike though. 11. https://www.gofundme.com/hd5bke4n I don't know if this is the place for this post, if it's not admen can take it down and I'm sorry. If there's any group that might help I figured this is it. My friend is a scientist and trying to get new programs through the EPA to help keep toxins out of the oceans that are killing the environment. I don't have all the details but this like does. https://www.gofundme.com/hd5bke4n please do what you can to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. So Im statring to add stock to my 29 gal nano cube. Iv got 2 clowns, a Toad stool leather, Kenya tree, and a Fungia plate. now I'm thinking of adding a male Flasher Wrasse. I know they should not go with 6 stripe wrasse and most placed say they are an "easy" level fish. does anyone have any Do's & Don'ts for these guys?

  17. Hi, new to saltwater. I just finished cycling my tank and added my clean up crew 2 days ago. This morning I looked in my tank and saw something on one of the rocks I don't remember being there. Can anyone help me identify it? I've looked on line and haven't seen any similar pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. the levels in the tank are: Salt 1.019 (I'm going to add a little more), Phosphate 0.25, Nitrate 5.0, Nitrite 0, Calcium 400, KH 89.5, PH 8.8, Ammonia 1.0. Like i said I just set everything up and started the cycle 1 day ago. does anyone have anyone have any experience with the Instant ocean Bio-spira start up?
  19. Thanks! If there's one thing I've learned with fish tanks is patience pays off. So I'm testing my water once a week and waiting for the spike to be over and all the levels to return to normal. Do you guys have any suggestions on helping the process?
