  1. I wanted to wait a bit before I posted any updates. Your store made a small donation of a new light and a cleaner crew for the tank I was setting up at my medic station. Thank you so much, the tank is running fantastic and everyone loves it! It's people like you guys and a great community like WAMAS that can bring this hobby to the next level. 4. Update! Paramedic looking for donations for stations Nano tank. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?/topic/79351-Paramedic-looking-for-donations-for-stations-Nano-tank%2E&share_tid=79351&share_fid=2873&share_type=t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The 2 clowns are fine with each other, it's the other inhabitants that are getting pushed around. She even bites me when I clean the tank. I know the clowns had been together for over a year before I got them and I've heard that once a pair of clowns buddy up it's bad to separate them? If not anyone want to trade coral or fish for the big clown? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have a 14gal with 2 clowns and a Wheeler Goby. One of the Clowns I think is getting to big for the tank. She's about 2 1/2-3" and bullying (she killed the Skunk shrimp I put after about 2 days). The 2 clowns have been together for a while before I got them and I know Clown can pair up. Is it Ok to take the larger one out or will it cause to much stress? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There are some great LED conversion kits on line I'm thinking of doing that for my bio cube cus it running a little hot. As for the ATO I just cut tabs out of the back of the hood over chamber 1 to run the fill hose in. The level sensors are in chambers 1 and 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Iv never had to deal with them myself. Iv heard a lot of mixed opinions on bristle worms. They actually do a pretty good job as part of the cleaner crew. Most people Iv heard from have never had one disturb there corals. A lot of people remove the big ones because they thought they looked gross. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Iv seen it go as high as 82.4 but it's usually in the 81ish range. The live stock looks ok, I havnt seen any major signs of distress. the clowns hide behind the big rock most the day that's about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I will go hoodless when I can get a suitable light for the tank. I'll try drilling some holes in the hood and installing another fan for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So as some of you know and have helped donate items (Thank you all!) I have set up a 14 gal biocube tank at my medic station. The tank is coming along great, fish and corals look happy but the tank is running worm 81.3'f. Iv opened the front of the hood and have the 2 hood fans running, the lights are on a 10 hour cycle with the blues on for the whole 10 and the whites on for the 4 in the middle but it's still a little worm. I don't have the funds for a chiller so does anyone have other suggestions or a chiller they would like to donate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I keep my QT tank cycled with a piece or rock but no sand. When I get a new coral or fish I keep them in the QT for at least 4 weeks before acclimating them to my main tank. I also dip the coral before placing them in the QT. it's been a good routine for me so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, I just read up on all the threads, Sad to hear they're not going to be around anymore. Plus I'm sad I missed out on those closing sales! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I was in the area today and stopped by to check out the stock and there was nothing there! What happened? When did it happen? They had really great stuff and very knowledgeable staff. I'm very surprised they're gone. ☹️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Iv always had a good experience there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I just got a RKL from a friend for a 14 gal Biocube in setting up. I was having major problems getting the setting to function with just the controller so I went on to the Digital Aquatics web sight to download the software and they said it is only programed to function on PC. Im not computer savvy (hence why I have a MAC). I was going to contact bulk reef to see if they have any suggestions. Ill let you know what I find out. Unless you've found new information?
  20. Iv was thinking of a Kessil, I have a 360 with the controller on my 29 gal tank. I think it's been the best addition Iv don't with my tank. I did notice a slowdown in my coral growth but I might just need to play with the intensity through out the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Dude. I love pawn shops, I find the coolest stuff at those places. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Welcome! Iv had fresh water fish all my life and got into keeping a reef tank about a year ago. I got on WAMAS almost immediately and it was a fantastic decision. The membership fee is a drop in the bucket for the general information, help with tank set ups and takedowns, coral frags sales, the group meetings, and peace of mind that there's a community of like minded hobbyists just a click away. I think if you stick around you'll be very happy. As for live stock in your tank. A school of blue or green cromies would be nice. They are fairly hardy and looks nice darting around the tank. 23. awesome! Im planing it all out right now and setting a budget aside. I was going to us a 5.5 that I had laying around my house but I got my hands on a 14 gal bio-cube so my demotions have changed. Im definitely going to up grade the lighting still. maybe do the LED med for the hood or will just take the hood off. I saw that the SBReef light had a larger model that is still well priced. can't wait to get this this set up.
  24. I like that SBReef light and the price is reasonable. I'll have to look more into that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
