  1. I think it might be an older way to filter it but not sure. I know some do have copper pot stills though.
  2. Ive read that some distilleries use coper to filter the vodka. Do you think that coper filtering could leach into the vodka and then into the tank?
  3. She answered some of these in post #7. Good thought about the RO/DI though.
  4. It's getting nasty down here too. Spinning out is only part of the fun of a snowy day. Thats why I drive2 wheel drive cars. It's like an exciting ride that you dont know what is going to happen around the next corner.
  5. I currently have a 37 without a sump and even have sps's in it. I try to stick to water changes weekly and manually dose every other day (I've been slacking the past week.) In my opinion I don't think a sump is really necessary at that size but it does make automating things a little easier.
  6. Ive heard lion fish is tasty. Grouper dont care. (honey badger reference)
  7. Just remember to clean the tank, not to blend it!
  8. Looks like some good growth in only a few months!
  9. I've seen it first hand. It's a rubber seal that sits inside another. If you look at the bottom of the up he has it removed. It def rubs the top though.
  10. What's the dish in the front corner there?
  11. It looked to keep its distance from the sand but in the initial part of the video it looked like it went deep into the sand.
  12. Went to Centreville aquarium the other day. They have two giants there.
  13. I like that idea. Just thinking it might look a little weird at first. Also don't know how the end layout will look.
  14. So I guess the next question I would have is, will my light penetrate deep enough into the water? I guess for initial setup I could use it and not have a full coverage? Say use just this until I get another light or upgrade to the larger one? Initially I'm only transferring over the corals from the 37 and I could just keep those in the center part of the tank.
  15. Thanks guys. That's what I was thinking myself but wasnt ready to admit it without the backup.
  16. What do we think about my it2040 lights on it? Will it be enough? Should I try it out for a bit and watch my corals closely? Any input would be helpful. Thanks, David

Everything looks so much bigger in this tank. It looks good. Do you have issues with stinging in the second picture?
  18. This is possibly in motion. I thought it was that because that was the only thing different with the tank. I read they typically only jump when stressed. Don't know how true that is.
  19. I was given a piece of egg crate and wanted to make a small temporary frag rack, I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money because I might be upgrading my tank. I found some suction cups for some heaters cheap and ran to Lowes and found some elbows that would fit it. So I just zip tied the frag rack to the pvc piping. I had the goby for a few months now and he was always fine, eating, digging and burring frags. He seemed happy. He was skittish the first few days but he warmed up. Even stayed out when my hand was in the tank. Well my girlfriend called upstairs this morning to me to tell me the little guy, or girl, had jumped to his death. It must have happened early this morning because he wasn't quite jerky yet. I did some reading and saw that they jump when stressed. I guess he disapproved of my new ugly frag rack. Just figured I would share and see if this sounds like a legit reason for his suicide.
  20. How did you fit so much in there? lol
