Beautiful tank!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just don't know if adding more part B in top of what I'm dosing already will cause precipitation. My part A doser is adding 1.5 ml per hour. So that should be 36 ml per day. My tank is 90 gal with 20 gal sump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Isaac. I'm gonna start making some salt water just incase. If anything starts looking bad, I'm just gonna do a big water change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My stomach turned in knots when I came home and saw the container almost empty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Okay thanks guys for the advise! So should I not dose part A until it is balanced? My Alk normally is at around 8 and because of the over dose, the Alkalinity dropped significantly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just came home and realize the calcium doser stayed on all day. Part A of brightwell calcium dripped all day. I just tested the water and calcium is in the high 500s and alk is 6.5. Should I compensate part B to bring up Alkalinity and wait for calcium to drop? Or do a water change and balance the levels? Anyone had this happen before? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Love the look! Nice job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Congrats!!! Tank looks great by the way. You don't keep the radions at 90% right. I turned mine down to 60% and still see some bleaching. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We added two female Flame Wrasse awhile back and recently one has changed to male or at least is in the process of. Every evening we are noticing that the one that turned male darts around the tank and actually flashes. Very cool Here are some pics Any body know if it has already completed the transition or will there be more changes to come.

They are gen 2s and never upgrade the lenses. So I guess stock lenses. You are right about being able to to re acclimate. I just needed to re do the profile. I'm in Clarksburg MD. Quite a drive from you, but would love to see your tank some time and of course Vise versa!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love the color!! You have a beautiful tank. BTW how is the copperband behaving in the tank?

Okay so it does seem I have it too close to the water and also set the intensity too high. My lights are 7 inches off of the water surface. I also have it going back and forth from 20K to 14K and 20K for 7 hours daily. My intensity is currently set at 75%. I thought about using the acclimation when I first got the lights too. Don't know if I can still set it on acclimation. I am going to tune down the intensity to 65% and leave there for a month and see how it goes. Thanks for the input!!

Here are just a few more. The same rock from earlier without cyano!! Okay that it for now. We will update again soon now that we have more free time. That's a promise! Please someone advise on the Radion settings. We looked online and everyone had them high and low. The saltwater guy even had it at 100% ??

Fast forward a few more months. Twins were taking up most of our time so we didn't even have time to take out the camera. Here are some recent pics we took last week. Starting to run out of space Female rhomboid we got for the male. Had another one before until the male chased it out of the tank literally. Found it laying on the floor one day. Here is the male. Turns gold every evening after feeding. Too fast when he turns to take a pic. Will keep trying to snap a good one. Can't remember what this was call, but love how it looks

The twins are about to turn 1 year old next month. Finally starting to have some extra time to do an update here of the tank!! We know its been A LONG TIME!! Well, we definitely learned a lot along the way that's for sure. It has been quite a journey with this tank. With the help of a few friends and members here, we over came many issues that we encountered along the way. The main issue in the beginning was high phosphate we had. We updated many of the equipment to increase water flow and nutrient removal. After months of consistent water changes and manual algae removing, we finally we able to get rid of all of the algae and cyano in the tank. Right now the water quality has been pretty consistent. PO4 is at 0 -.02 and NO3 is at .2 or lower. All of the corals and fishes are definitely flourishing in this stable condition. Right now we are trying to improve the coloration of the corals in our tank. We recently switched LED lights and seem to have under estimated the power of these lights. Some of the softies and sps has lost color after changing our lights from Kessils to Radions. Maybe someone here can chime in and let us know what lighting schedule and intensity settings they are currently using. Here are some picture that we took along the progression of our tank. This is right after cycling the tank with a few small frags of mushrooms and frog spawn after adding a few more coral and fishes. Took this one when lights are about to go out so most of the fishes are not in it. This is the beginning of the algae outbreak. Close up of the cyano that came along after Here is a better picture after figuring out how to white balance with our camera.
