  1. I'm thinking of doing that now. But first I need a light for my 18x18x18 cube......
  2. I would do an SPS tank with GSP all on the bottom. There will be no rocks nor sand. The GSP would consume the bottom of the tank and all of my sps would be glued on reef frag squares. As soon as the GSP start growing on the squares I would just razor them off. As for fish, I would add blue eye cardinals. After time the tank would like a DR. Seuss book, colorful trees and green grass.
  3. Soooooo, slow is work and I decided to reaquascape.... Let me know what you think?
  4. Thanks! No, the skimmer box is for the overflow which leads to the sump. There I'll have a skimmer and reactor.
  5. My 4th tank in 3 different zip codes... Obsessed no.... just making a window in a room with no windows. Here are photos of what I got so far. I decided not to drill the tank because of how thin the glass is. Instead I’m going with a slim design overflow box. I used this overflow for my 75g and think I may need a ball valve to restrict some flow. As for a return pump I'll be using a mag 3. Tank is going to be mostly lps, zoas, softies, acans, and mushrooms. No sps yet but maybe later. As in for fish, I’m going to keep it simple. I’ll have a pair of clowns, fire fish, pistol and goby, and a show fish. Haven’t decided what my “show” fish is going to be so any suggestion would be great. Next week I will be adding black sand and 20g of water change water plus 5g of new water. I will also add a piece of live rock to seed my dead rock.
  6. Wow! So much color and diversity. Those eels do make the pile of corals look mysterious. Makes me wonder what else is hiding in the pile...
  7. Return those rocks! If you can of course. Get your self some dry rock and 1 piece of live rock from any LFS. Then sit back, wait 3 months, and research. Last bit of info... Go Reef!
  8. Reading this thread makes me wonder if he'll ever post again.... If you have aiptasia and majanos take them rocks out and go with dry rocks instead.
  9. Petco is a hit or miss but just like other members have mentioned it all depends on who is running the department. In my 150, I have a midas blenny that I got from petco a year ago . When I first bought him he was white with black streaks on his dorsal fin and belly. After acclimating him to my tank and feeding him enriched food, he got his color back after 2 months. Now he's the brightest Midas Blenny you would ever see and full or personality too.
  10. Hahahaha, is that rex guy still on RC? I heard he's an a$$h○|€......
  11. Will do. I will be placing my order tomorrow. Thanks for every1s input.
  12. I just added some to my tank. I have a 150 and added about 15lbs about 2 weeks ago. Parameters have not change but it only has been 2 weeks... add a little at a time was what every1 recommended.
  13. Do you recall if it was 14 or 20k?
  14. In the market for MH bulbs and stumbled upon these on ebay... item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=290694225519&cmd=VIDESC Link. Has any1 tried these before if so are the kelvin rating true to color? Thanks, Kristin

  16. If your going to do a 10g nano I would do it like this www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1340943 I've seen one in person and thought it was neat. you can have an all in one the way you want it. You can even make the overflow/sump in the back of the tank instead of to the left like they did...
