Well I was wrong!

And from my friend- the project stirred up heavier particles which have sort of latched on to the smaller sediments and pulled them out of suspension. That and lack of wind/ rain which usually stirs things up makes the water more clear. Add on some light refraction and there you go. Don't think it's a big deal for marine life.
Um yeah no! This can't be right as I am from Charleston and surfed Wash Out at Folley my entire life! I have not been home in awhile but I am asking my friend who is a marine biologist there what her thoughts are on it.
Yeah we are so rough on stuff we would scratch acrylic.
I am now trying to figure out the difference between internal corner overflow and attached external overflow?

We learned all in ones are a pain. The protein skimmer sucks, it is hard to clean, and if you have an issue you do not have the option to add something to your sump etc as you don't have one.
As some know Pez and I are upgrading. We are looking at 250 DD and we are stuck on what tank to buy. We want something that will last and meet every need now and future that we could imagine.
We have heard that glass cages have improved over the years but at the same time some reviews scare us.
Also the MarineLand will not warranty a tank if you do not use their stand. We are doing an in wall tank so we would not use their stand.
We also are looking at AGE but not sure on that either. I heard their tanks are well built but customer service sucks at times.
If you could have your dream tank what would you choose and why?
Side overflows? PVC bottom? What brand?
Looking at two things a dehumidifier (small one) and with adding an extra vent separately or doing a Y off of the bathroom vent.
Any other ideas?
We are also looking at ways to completely protect the electric box there. There are a couple of ideas floating around there.
The biggest question right now is the grinder sump. Is it safe to drain salt water down it? The basement bathroom is the only thing connected to it so if we drain saltwater down anything in that bathroom or connect anything to that sump directly will it damage it?
Well as some know our basement flooded at the end of March. Since we are under construction we have decided to go ahead with the fish room tank upgrade. We are looking at the MarineLand 250DD. Here are a few photos ideas etc.
The Red lines are walls we removed and the blue line is the wall the tank will go into.
Photos of room and our ideas:
What are your ideas suggestions etc?
What is your favorite fish for personality and why?
Pez and I were discussing personality in fish today and our lawnmower blenny (Homer for Homer Simpson) has the best by far. From staring you down for Nori on his rock, to catching a ride on a turbo snail cause he is too fat and lazy to swim lol.
What is your favorite and why?
We a program similar. It is called I give and you log into it (free, chose your charity) then shop at multiple differents online stores and a % goes to that charity.
