I have a question concerning GFO...Why is it that I can rinse my GFO for 10-15mins, the water is crystal clear, yet later in the day after I have the reactor online in the system, I get a brown coating in the skimmer and in the skimmate and even in the sump? I think I'm rinsing pretty well.......Anyone else with the same issues/fix for this?

I think it is totally easier using the laptop myself. JMO.... and you can check on your tank during the day either from your phone or computer.

I agree with Dave...It's not that heavy.

It's great to see the different opinions on tanks! I think we are very fortunate to have tanks of this caliber right here in our backyard, on WAMAS!

I am intrested in your opinions on who you think has the nicest SPS tank on WAMAS. This is for CURRENT MEMBERS tanks, not past members, current members tanks please. No guidlines...keep it simple. It's your opinion. My 1st thought would be Copps.

I have 3 brand new (out of the box) Lumenmax elites that I just purchased that I was very disappointed with the spread of light. Was too "spotty" I thought. The par on them is CRAZY though. 1" below the surface was 1100, and on the sandbed it was 320, on the main reef it was around 650! That was mounted at 16" above the waterline. This was with my 300dd 27" tall tank.

As far as the skimmer is concerned...what dept is it in...looks like the water level is really high...?...which would explain it overflowing.

Me too! I did sprinkle some water on it last Friday when I was there...so it really was wet in Febuary.
