thanks so much but i got it fixed for now ... let impeller cool and scraped and sanded some melted plastic from impeller and is working for now 74.00 for new one......... guess i fared ALOT better than most grrrrrrrrrr man i wish my tank was drilled

well as a public school bus driver i have hred these things and worse and we dont have any other adults with us on our busses ... a feel bad for her BUT the bus driver should have been told the second this started and these kids should have been hauled into the princable's office the second these horriable things where said and deff when she was touched and had there bus riding privelages supbended !!!!!!! she should NOT have let this go on as long as it appers to have gone on

i would keep the lights off and cover as much as possiable the times i have had these spots in the past seems like the fish want to be in the dark and fewer spots in the morning before the lights have been on also i qt diffrent ..i put some old rock that can be tossed in the trash if you have to treat and some pieces of pipe that will also be throwen in the trash if treated for hiding spaces tell the fish has time to settle so it wont be as stressed

thanks jan..... also if you DO have to end up using you will have to remove some water so if you poke holes in the frozen bottle and it will add fresh water to replace any removed water and ice holdes alot of oxqen to help add back what the hot water takes out also if the tank starts getting to cold you can easly remove the bottle and remaning ice in the bottle before it gets to cold

i found old clean soad bottles filled and froze works great just rember do NOT fill all the way and leave the lid OFF tell frozen then put it back on

I keep frozen 1 leater soda bottles u can just put in tank(sump is better )and they float no water addad into your tank
