  1. thanks for the info, looks like this falls in the noob category "let me google that for you" lol
  2. since we are on the glue subject (in another thread). This was the only thing they had left in stock at my Walmart so I thought I'd check it out... anyone use it? Gorilla Glue Gel http://www.gorillatough.com/index.php?page=super-glue-gel
  3. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/ this is just one of the many guides on the subject.
  4. ya I decided against getting any of the bigger tangs
  5. My new 100gal 90" long frag tank! love it!
  6. They are all easy corals to grow, but what is interesting to me is that at month 3 is when I switched from Kalk to 2 part. You can see how the growth really takes off on the birds nest in the middle picture. I am switching to all D120 LEDs in a couple of weeks. I cant wait to see the growth 6 months from now!
  7. couple this with the fact that I forget something a couple of months after I learn it, and have to learn it all over again...
  8. So, how does one grow a tiny frag into those large rounded colonies? Is that a large round rock that you mount them to? Or does their skeleton just grow that way? Where does one find such plugs?
  9. well played sir... well played.
  10. wow... this thread got more attention than it deserved lol
  11. Hmm, I'm thinking of taking some kind of vacation to recharge the batteries, then come back strong and try to hit that "master reefer" status! The trick is to do it with quality posts like this one, and not just a bunch of cheap posts to get the counter up lol. I would but my son doesnt allow me to play his 3DS... selfish little punk :P
  12. You got me there... Its a real B**** to find pants that fit... But my long reach allows me to work in my 110 deep dimension fairly easily!
  13. I don't mean to brag or anything... But I just hit "reefer" status. I'm the best and most modest of all the fish keepers EVER!
  14. I've lost so many fish over the years that my wife and kids just stop caring lol
  15. Yes I had 2 clean buckets next to the bath. After the 15 minutes I shook the coral in the first bucket and placed in the 3rd for transport. The first bucket after all the corals were shook had ALOT of crud in it. It seemed to work well.
  16. - would have not wasted SO MUCH money on cheap crap that eventually got replaced. - would not have started with such a small tank (55gal) - would have quarantined every living thing that went into my tank.
  17. I used it right away on all of the FFE corals, and I plan on taking all of my corals out and dipping them as well. But does anyone remember which coral he said to do only 10 minutes instead of 15?
  18. "now is a good time to grind some stuff cause it looks cool on camera" HAHA
  19. this made me spit lunch... so you owe me a new shirt.
  20. Yes, same as above. Thanks to all!!! It was a great time. And to whoever accidentally took home my bucket lid... what gives bro? :P (I probably just didnt find it, I'm the typical guy that sucks at looking for things) When I got home and my wife saw how many frags I had, she almost lost it thinking I spent hundreds of dollars lol. nope only had to pay for a few, WHAT AN EVENT! WAMAS is AMAZING! oh and my son beat his Ben10 video game while there, thats a big milestone for him too. So, thanks to eveyone for your support in not interupting his 3DS playing...
  21. Also, interestingly... They do not do well out of water. I found my missing chromis on the ground no where near my tank, and he was dead! seriously though. I bought 6 to start with, and two of them were jerks and killed the rest. Now obviously I only have one. He never picks on other fish though.
  22. probably covered earlier in the thread, but are you going to cover the back of the tank with something? a track curtain would be cool.
