  1. good luck on that. I think it is hard to do.
  2. Yes those are new, they will darken up in a few days and you will start to see eyes. My Clowns spawn like crazy.
  3. will do, it is not to big and was made well. I will take some pictures Sunday when i clean it.
  4. i use a L2 to scrubber on my 72 bow front and it is starting to do a good job on y tank (on tank for a month).
  5. Hi all, just my two cents. I run an ATS system and I can say that it has helped. I have an L2 scrubber (4 weeks now) and before that I had a DIY one with LEDs, I also use a skimmer because to help. I will take some pictures and post some time.
  6. now that is cool, I have two small harry mushrooms and they do that some times.
  7. Pictures after I had my ATS running for two months.
  8. some pictures of my tank before the ATS
  9. I am running an ATS, I have not yet gotten into the upflow yet because my ATS is working great.
  10. I do not run anything as well, not even a skimmer. I run an ATS and do limited water changes (one or two a year) and have had success (so far). I love my ATS and will put one on any tank that i upgrade too.
  11. yes some may survive, if you are lucky.
  12. cool!! I hope it spreads fast so we all can get some.
  13. I use an ATS on my 72 gallon Bow front. I started with a skimmer and was miserable, I had hair algae growing like crazy. I did some research and found out about the ATS and have not looked back. My tank is now 18 months old on the ATS and I am finally getting great growth (hair algae now gone) from my little frags. I also have started dosing with lime and vinegar, for a week so I still have the wait and see attitude on that. Love my ATS though.
  14. I do not do water changes on my 72 gallon bowfront. I run a Algae turf scrubber (ATS) and an auto top off. I was having a terrable time with my tank until I switched to my ATS and do water changes once in two years. I love this system and would be out of the hobby with out it.
  15. I was also having GHA issues until I used a Algae scrubber. Some people don't like them but the new guidelines and builds are really good and I was able to get my tank GHA free within a few weeks (have a little growing on the back wall know, but that is because of my lack of maintenance).
  16. Hi Guys, I run an ATS and I love it. I had big problems with algae before and know I just have a little on the back glass of my tank, (and that is because I have not tuned in my ATS and over feed). If I can figure out how to post pictures from work I will show you some before and after shots of my tank.
  17. I use a DIY ATS as well, and I found the best place to go to is Algaescrubber.net. I found all the information I needed there and I have had great success with the ATS. I am looking to even build a better one for my tank down the road.
  18. Go with the Algae Scrubber, my tank was a mess (overgrown) with GHA until I found out about Algae Scrubber, now my tank is looking good, and I am buying coral again to replace all the ones that died off from being suffocated by the GHA. I don't know how to upload pictures but when I figure it out i will give you some before and after shots.
