  1. Oh my... Glad I kept them in qt I do have a frag tank that current have a small yellow tang and a pair of clowns... I don't plan on putting anything else in there, but it's a rimless open top tank. Afraid they might carpet surf...
  2. These are supposed to be the meanest of the mean... Of the dottybacks... :/
  3. the wrasses are are about 2", the basslets are about 2-3", the tangs and angel are ~4". these dottybacks are about 2-3"
  4. So... I had the chance to buy a pair of the super rare Australian Multicolor Dottyback... so I did... but after reading up on them. I may not be able to keep them... current, in my 200 gallon, there are a few wrasses, a blackcap basslet, japanese basslet, zebra angel male, and pair of hippo tangs, i plan on adding a few more tangs and dwarft angels. But from my reading, the Aussie Multicolor should not be kept with peaceful-ish fish....they should only be kept with other aggressive fish. What do you all think? good idea or bad idea to add them to my DT? they are in QT right now, eats everything from day 1 quick video of the pair.
  5. So got this conch awhile back, great cleaner, but kinda boring... so..... Lets see where how this will turn out after a few months
  6. i use the mp10 on the deep blue 50, and it falls off once in awhile. so if the 80 is thicker, than i would say yes .
  7. hey sorry, been busy with starting a new job and all. havent done much, more algae are coming and going, especially bubble algae for some reason. got a few fish that i failed my QT process, ended up losing a few. other than that, everything else seems okay. havent looked at my tank for more than 2 minutes at feeding time in the last few days. hopefully this weekend i'll get a chance to do more. and when i had sometime (yesterday), help my buddy sell his set up.
  8. Looking good as always, Anh Khanh.
  9. I had a cracked baffle in my sump and Home Depots aquarium silicone works perfectly.
  10. If you have an option to put sump and equipment in a different room... DO IT! It'll make everything so much easier and cleaner.
  11. I have 8x80w and 2x reefbrite attached. You're welcome to come by and take a look. And my dimension is 72x30x20. So practically the same as yours
  12. If weight isnt an issue, I would do glass over acrylic, I've already scratch mine acrylic even tho I was very careful. Unless you have room to work all around the tank, I do not recommend more than 30" front to back and and 24" bottom to top, unless you have extra long arms. length wise, go crazy I would pick bean overflow if you have the space, just because it allow more tank space. and clean without obstruction look. I do a mix of T5 and reefbrite sup, for cost and since I dont really care for sunrise sunset and all those fancy bells and whistles.
  13. Unfortunately, the naso did not make it. It was still eating and picking on things until yesterday morning. but by evening time, it was on its side...I tried fungal medicine as mentioned above as well, but to no affect. Fortunately, none of the my fish that were housed with it show any sign of anything. They're all eating very well still.
  14. Here is mine after like 2-3 days
  15. if the performance remain like this forever, then it's worth every penny.
  16. Skimmer finally broke in. after 3-4 weeks, 2-3 days of skimming - and i'm skimming very dry
