  1. No, they dont. Especially locals. For some reason, I think, most LFS havent bought into the idea of online shopping yet, and still wait for those walk-ins...
  2. No it's not. Even without qt, there are still handling and tender care that goes into the process. You should know this

Inherited this tank a few weeks back and wasn't sure what to do. So tried my hands on fresh water planted under water waterfall. Turned out not too bad.
  6. tangs and wrasses are in a 75 gallon, the triggers is in a 84x24x30 - 265gallon tank
  7. I had only 3-4 batches of HA, about 1-2x2", so wasn't that much to began with.
  8. So it's been like 4-5 days now. I used 2 pills (200mg) for my approximately 80-90 gallon. Almost HA and bryopsis are gone, I think there is 1 small batch left. The BA are still there, but I think I see some floating off earlier, that may be nothing. I have some turf algae as well, and those seems unaffected for now.
  9. Just did about 5mg/gallon, 2x200m, in my 80-90 gallon tank. I only have a few spots of HA and BA. Well see what happen. Anyone else have an update who recently dosed?
  10. That thing is taking over your tank anh Khanh... amazing!
  11. Will this kill other plants? I guess it will wipe out Chaetos? How about mangroves?
  12. I would test the new saltwater that you are using for your WC. I had algae issue before and everything seems normal... but I realize my rodi water filters hasn't been changed in a long time... tested the new water and there was ammonia... changed all the stages and everything cleared up in 2-3 weeks of water changes Also reducing light period helped a lot too. Especially if you don't have high demanding corals.

  14. you can get away with one, but if you are going to have finer sand, and run it at a higher power level, it will most likely cause sand storm, Personally, i would do 2 and run them at a lower power level, this way, it wont blow sand all over.
  15. Did the two came together? or was it 1 came, then left and then the other came, and then you noticed it after they both left? If they came together, then definitely a team thing, so then we all needs to know
  16. I dipped my Acans -and favia in about 60/40 tank water / peroxide for about 5-7 mins. They were pissed for about 3-4 days but are good now. Oh, I had extreme turf algae
  17. was just there a little ago. Tuan is extremely nice and friendly. if you're looking for big angels, then he's your man... a 12" Majestic???? i didnt even know they get that big...
  18. took out 3-4 gallons from the DT, and voila.... foam!!! and a 3-4 gallon wc to the DT is nice bonus
  19. Yup check the air intake line as well. I can plug and unplug it and it will produce a little bit of bubbles. But nothing like before.
  20. So, I have this skimmer running on a 50 gallon for a few years, ~3 years. i shut it off during the weekly clean, and when i turned it back on, it wont produce bubbles anymore, so i took it apart to give it a good muriatic acid bath. approximately 9 parts water, 1 parts acid in a 5 gallon bucket. let it run over night, and cleaned it up, turned it back on, still no bubbles. anyone got any idea? Took the impeller apart too, and it looks cleaned, and still in tack, doesnt look like anything is broken. I think this is the skimmer here. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24783&cmpid=03cseYY&gclid=CjwKEAjwqpK8BRD7ua-U0orrgkESJADlN3YBIL31I_71d0OSKKPnzCtjMy3xjajerDO20jtn4_YWjhoC-y3w_wcB
