  1. Can you elaborate a little more on how you have no detritus? What do you do?
  2. Hmmm
  3. Really nice. I love the way you have the rocks on the glass.
  4. I've seen some really nice home made set ups for collecting and storing RO/DI water and water with salt mix. Now I'm ready to do the same. I need suggestions on what to use and how to set it up. My RO/DI unit is attached to the sink in my basement. I have room for storage recepticles. Please send me pictures and tell me where you purchased the recepticles and how you modified them. Thank you.
  5. Why not just leave it alone and see what benefits it might add to your system? Apparently some of us are not sure of what is good or bad for our systems so we seek the very much appreciated valuable knowledge from the patient, understanding and tolerant WAMAS sages.
  6. Oooohhh, I see...they have all those little tentacle looking thingys. Thank you. Aren't spaghetti worms good?
  7. Nasty bristle worms. They sting. Some folks will say they're good, some will say they're not.

I was considering putting these guys in my 24 gallon nano but I was afraid that they'd be ripped apart. They are adorabe! Thanks everyone

Does anyone own one or has anyone owned one in the past?
  10. Hi TOm, Not the new post button. Whenever I log on I'm accustomed to seeing posts from the last few hours. I'm only getting posts from the last hour or so.
  11. This is recent for me.
  12. I ordered a few blue and turquoise mushrooms, 1 red bubble polyp and 1 nano cleaner pack from www.caribbeanfishandmore.com. The nano cleaner pack included a Serpant starfish and a Tiger Tail cucumber for an amazing price. I don't think their prices can be beat for the service and quality offered via the internet. Customer service is great; prompt and courteous. Shipping is cheap. Everything arrived in 24 hours via FedEx next day air AM delivery. All the livestock is doing amazingly well. Everything except my Tiger tail cucumber. It's still a little shook up. They also sell on eBay. Check them out.
  13. I knew about the misting and the light source. I didn't know how many I could put in the tank. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Thank you.
  14. Has something changed?
  15. I've been reading everything I can find about using Red Mangrove seeds in the marine aquarium but I haven't found anything that tells me how many per tank or gallon. Can you put too many in your tank? What has worked for you? I'd really appreciate whatever information you can share with me from your own personal experience. Thank you.
  16. I went to The Marine Scene two weeks ago. The place was immaculate. The livestock were active, open an they appeared healthy and bright. I was impressed with the person that helped me, Jen. She really knows her stuff. I was most impressed when she discouraged me from purchasing a fish that wouldn't do well in my system. A real marine activist. She also didn't have a problem picking up a book and looking something up. No BS. My experience was very positive. This is the kind of place I'd definately go back to. I really appreciate the professionalism, their care for marine animals as well as the time that Jen spent helping me. Thanks for your time and patience Jen. The Marine Scene gets my business.
  17. Looks great! What size tank is that? REally very very nice.
  18. Oh man, another shroom bursts. My red spotted shroom just split and exploded. I'm laughing and crying at the same time. It seems that the red ones just don't like these lights. I've been leaving them on 2 hours off 3-4 hours for the last two days. It must be confusing the heck out of everything but it's been working with everything else, up until today that is,with the red spotted one. Everyon appears to be opening up and plumping up beautifully. I can't even try to grow them like frags because the center just pops out. Poor shrooms.
  19. Really really beautiful. Keep the pics coming.
  20. I'll gladly share when and if I get to them. I'd really like them out in the open so I can enjoy them. I'll keep you posted. Thank you.
  21. I'm not "worrying". I'm curious. These anemones are not dying. They are multiplying in 79 degree temp water. so I doubt they are the cold water ones. No, they do not eat just planktonic foods. There are two types as I stated in the post. Some that eat fish. Fish that are bigger than they are. I've posted my query because I need to make an informed decision about moving them or not. They are behind everything and it's going to be a HUGE task getting to them. I'd like to help them to survive. I also want to keep my livestock alive. Thanks for your opinion.
  22. I moved all that I could to the bottom under shade. I had 3 bright red mushrooms 1 disintegrated the other two went from the size of a dime to the size of a grain of barley. 1 purple one looked like it exploded. Half of it shrivled and it's guts turned into jelly. SMelled bad. I'm really upset about it. I really wanted to see those shrooms get big. They were an amazing bright red. The others got small, but they're hanging in there.
