  1. I have the AC JR with ACserial2Web software. I am guessing it takes a little more patience to set up because the software is free, but the developer is very responsive and if you do your homework setup is very straight forward. with my setup I can program it to send me emails with an attached image and I can also see video online.
  2. Was there lots of calcium deposits?
  3. I spent some time and money verifing results from my Hanna color meter. Check it out below. http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/37019-hanna-checker-phosphate/page__p__318313__hl__hanna__fromsearch__1entry318313
  4. Too bad about the lokani, do you think it was due to shipping stress or something else? I still have the efflo, it is doing pretty good. Growing a bit slow but doing fine. You can see it in my general discussion thread: http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/37457-a-few-new-pictures/
  5. Thanks. David you might recognize the stag, tabling acro, and that orangish one. They all came from you, oh yeah the GBTA came from you too!
  6. Thanks, I raised the babies in a seperate 10g but when my anemone split a couple of times I could not resist pairing them with a nem. I decided the best way to do that is with the breeders net. Thanks! I like it too, there are holes for frags, rocks, and caves built in. My powder blue sleeps in a cave in the wall!
  7. If you look closely I am sure you will find one of your corals since nearly all of my corals have come from wamas members!
  8. Yeah thanks for the confirmation. I can still access my info and control my system/ see pictures of it from my phone so I guess that will work for me. Too bad I can't see my sig though, I need to set one up at reef chat but i am having some trouble...
  9. Looks good! How is your 10k league Lokani doing? My original super man is doing pretty good. But the blue berry rasberry milli is pretty much the same-although it is showing some signs of real color now, but not much...
  10. me too, for me it has something to do with my current location
  11. A little update, I have set up the ACserial2web software and it works pretty good. The software has USB web cam picture and video support which is really cool! The bluetooth connection has been very spotty and does not like to stay connected for more than a few hours so it is not working for my needs at the moment. I have a hard wire connection hooked up to my computer and it seems to be working ok..Except I can't see my signauture with my status below, can anyone see it?
  12. Did you reply with "Too Late!"??
  13. I have a colony and a frag that have quite a few on them on them but hey appear to be localized on only those corals. My plan is to dip them for as long as it take to kill the bugs. There is a vet down the block from my house so I will probably go in and talk to them first. Thanks for the tips all.
  14. what lens are you shooting these pics with? Looks great!
  15. With what people eat these days, I doubt it will harm you-but I am not doctor so.... I hope you are joking btw...
  16. No, I have never heard of them. Looks like a neat vet.
  17. From Reefcentral.com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This thread contains data gathered by member Billybeau1. Thanks! Here is a list of what I measured for the big three in a number of the salt mixes we use today. This is intended as a guideline and I, in no way, guarantee these figures. All I can say is they were all tested under the same conditions, with a number of different brand test kits, using the same methods for each test. I believe these numbers are reasonably what you can expect from these salts mixed at 35 ppt or SG 1.0264 @ 25 C. 18. Hi all, I found quite a few red bugs on my acropora and I figured it is time to treat it with interceptor. Does anyone know of a vet in the NOVA area that understands interceptor is used to treat red bugs? Thanks!
  19. How large is your algae blenny? I have had issues with introducing any other type of long bodied bottom dwelling fish like sand sifting gobies due to my large, very territorial algae blenny. How about a nice pair of clowns? Another tang would be nice too, my PB and yellow tang get along very well.
  20. I recommend a dedicated fuge running at least 12 hours a day and determining if your phosphate levels are detectable to start. It is probably a good idea to test the phosphates of your fresh saltwater. I also recommend identifying the pest that you have encountered-does it blow off the sand and rocks easily with a turkey baster or power head? I had a TERRIBLE case of cyano and it started with a little in the sand like that. After 4 months or so, all the rock, foam was, was covered. Luckily it stayed away from my corals. After various techniques to try to curb it, I realized it would take too long to go away. So I used chemiclean and that worked like a champ, I was very surprised.
  21. You have nitrates listed twice. Have you tested phosphates? Some of that looks like cyano, especially the first picture. Are you running a fuge? Have you tested magnesium? I know when my Mg is low i tend to get more algae for some reason.
  22. It was too packed when we went but it seems like the kind of store that could be a little chaotic. I am sure we will be going to back in the future for meats, seafood, and produce.
