Sean at TACo has a sea hare for me I will P/U as soon as I have time. He said he should call it a sea buffalo it is so big. Should be fun! Also, I am trying something a bit off. I will be doing 2gal water change every day for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

This tank a 24 gallon nanocube has been up and running for about 5-6 months. I have been fighting it for about 2 months. No fuge. I do water changes 5 gallons every week with rodi water and H2Ocean salt. Stock: Ocilar. clown, pygmy angel, purple stripe psuedochromis and a blenny. Cleaning crew: 8 tonga snails, 1 shooting star snail ( I want more Sean), 3 blue leg crabs and 2 emerald crabs. Lighting is brand new 150w halide with actinics. I feed small amount of flake one day and then a small mix of mysis and baby brine the next. I think that covers it

Hair algae is making me crazy :x on my rock work and growing around my zoa. All my parameters are in check, at least the ones I check. Nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, Ph, SG, calcium and phos. Still I have hair algae :twisted: I have done what I know I shouldn't do. Try and pluck it on with my long thumb forceps. Now it seems the parts that float away have attached to knew areas in my tank. I might throw something. AAARG!!!! I just throw my cat I feel better. Haha. Any suggestion here. I know if I starve it it will go away. How long does this take? am i too impatient? Please help.

It is a 24 gallon with plenty of rock and caves. I made a plastic bottle trap with the top cut off and turned inside of the bottle and placed food in the bottle. Also, tried a net. And yes I tried at 5:30am to catch this fish

I need to catch my pygmy angel. The problem is I do not want to take my tank apart. I have been trying for 6 hours to catch this son of a B. I have caught my clown 3 times but no angel fish. PLEASE HELP!!

On Wed. morning i found my pigmy angle picking on my dwarf pajama cardinal amd when I got home from work he was dead He is also picking on my clove polypsand they will not open So I am thinking of giving up this very pretty but mean fish. Should I give him one more try? I am affraid that if I add another fish he will most likely pick on it. Any thoughts?

I am auto dosing my liver with Ketle one right now. Should get rid of nitrates and phos right?

I just did the same thing 20 minutes ago cut my sponge and added a bag with carbon from my fresh water left overs. With chaeto do you need a light in the back? I got a rock that had chaeto growing on it the size of an egg. I got it off and tossed it in the center compartment. Still seems to be about the same size as a week ago. Thanx all for the help. I am sure things will clear up soon.

I have ceramic and live rock. Not a lot though. What do you use in first chamber? I use the stock sponge. Should I use a carbon filter that I can make fit? Thanx

Too answer a few of the questions. I know my phos is high and added phos sponge in second compartment. I do 5 gallon water change every week. I work in the medical field so I get RO/DI water from work. My nitrates just above 0. I think 5. I live in Arlington. I think my daughter is a bit heavy handed with the food. Why no phosban?

My 24 gallon aquapod has started to get algae growth on my clove polyps (and are not open) and some other soft corals. Lack of water flow is what I was thinking. My shrooms are not opening like they should either. I just got a maxijet 1200 and I had a splitter for the outflow to redirect water to areas that need it. I put the maxi in the back and I keep getting micro bubbles. Water level is fine, not sucking air. I also put phos sponge in second compartment of back to help decrease algae growth. I am frustrated with my tank at this point. When I had my 10 gallon I never had problems. Venting over. Questions. 1) is the maxi 1200 too much? 2) is algae growth on my clove and leather from no water flow? 3) what else can I do? p.s. all my levels are right on. s.g. .026. phos was too high to read.

24 gallon bc with no skimmer and no fuge. All seems great I do weekly 5-6 gallon water changes. I have a big bioload and have started getting hair algea. Might be over feeding. Thinking about getting askimmer, so if anyone has one for sale. Wink, wink. Nod, nod.
