  1. If you just want something verticle to cover the opening in the back you can probably still use eggcrate. You can probable use eggcrate. Either way though you don't really need a frame. You can just cut it down to size and put it over the opening and you're done.
  2. Why did you decide not to use the filter socks?
  3. Instead of drilling anything, why don't you use the plastic egg crate and just cut it the size of the openings and sit it on there. I don't think you have to drill anything and it should have small enough holes to keep a wrasse it. They sell it at Home Depot for $10 for a 4' x 8' sheet.
  4. Are you refering to Blue Hippo Tangs or Saltwaterfish.com. FWIW...I've received two big orders from Saltwaterfish.com and haven't had any problems. I'm not happy with their customer service but I've always received healthy fish.
  5. GREAT Everyone is so helpful
  6. Is this better? I moved it to the center of my tank so it is shaded by the 24" glass center brace and then again by the upper part of this rock which overhangs. It is not totally shaded but pretty shaded. Will that work?
  7. So if the only shaded spots are in the sand, what should I do? It is a nice one. I got it from Mr Coral for $40. It has about 30 or so polyps. What's the best food for them? Here's another nice one. http://mrcoral.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=923
  8. Oh I get it. It would basically be making silicone feet, right?
  9. Can you post a picture of your anemone? Also, what type of anemone is it? Thanks
  10. I am planning on using it in the water in my sump. Are you suggesting that I silicone my pump to the bottom of my sump? Will there be a way to service it if I need to? Would it be better just to wrap in bubble wrap or will I still have a nitrate problem down the road? Thanks
  11. Do you have any left over?
  12. I don't think I have anywhere that is half way up that is in the shade like a cave.
  13. I just took this picture. Does it look like it's dying?
  14. Would you get the "BOO" one of the scared Cowboy or the one of the Cowboy getting drilled?
  15. I got a sun coral from Mr Coral about a week ago. I really didn't want one but my wife has been really wanting one for a while. I was told and read that it is hungry and will eat when the polyps come out. The first night I got it, the polyps came out and I fed it. The polyps have not come out since. Is it eating when I feed the fish and getting food out of the water or is it dying. Thanks in advance for the help.
  16. GREAT!!! Is there anything I need to look out for in a mouse pad?
  17. I've already done all my plumbing and would rather not redo it all. I guess I will try to bubble wrap the pump unless anyone has any other ideas.
  18. I have a Mag 36 in my sump and it vibrates alot. I wanted to know if there is any way to reduce this without replacing the pump. I have heard that putting a think mouse pad under it would help but I wanted to confirm before I but one or poison my tank if it's toxic. Thanks
  19. James, Did you try to send an email?
  20. He's in Germantown Maryland. I'm not sure if he's ordered yet.
  21. Looks pretty good to me.
  22. Thanks everyone. It actually turned out better than I thought.
  23. My brother in law said he went their when they were closing and saw the front was totally cleaned out and the back still had livestock in it. He said there was uniformed people in there taking notes. He said it looked like humane society or something else similar. Not sure though. I used to go there every Tuesday when Ritas was buy one get one free on Tuesdays and their prices were good on fish but they always looked so unhealthy or dear. Their reef tank in the back against the wall always looked terrible too and covered in algae. I never bought anything there.
  24. How much sand are you talking about? Today I did the same thing in my frag tank to clean up the sand bed and then I just rinsed in saltwater and returned it too the tank. I'm not sure where Bob is getting his sand so cheap but I can't afford to replace my sand every time I get algae on my sand bed.
  25. Here are some updated pictures of my frag tank. I added two pieces of shelf rock and drilled them for frag plugs. I basically just made my own frag stations. Before and After. Before After
