He's looking and behaving like a healthy fish aside from me not knowing if he is eating. I have given him flake food and some of the homemade frozen stuff from the food making party, but he isn't eating in front of me. There is chaeto with pods in it in there - could he be eating those instead of the food I put in the tank? Also, I'm wondering if they tend to eat from the bottom, because it looks to me sometimes like he's looking for something, and supposedly they eat bristleworms which would indicate that perhaps the fish tend to eat from below. Maybe he's just not swimming up to the food and waiting for it to come to him?

i didn't know you were selling snails and hermits... I would have bought some before./ So are they all going as a package, no change of getting them separate?

You can get some of the antibiotics at just Petco or Petsmart, if you decide to use those.

If you go in the first aid section, you will probably find them there, but maybe not so cheap as they are then medical supplies. The dollar stores sometimes have them, also likely to be in that section if you want the soft kind rather than the hard ones (that's where I've gotten them).

but does that necessarily mean the salt is bad? Using "reef" salt instead of regular salt makes it easier because I don't have to add any calcium to the tank - I'm afraid I'll overdo it.

well, it WILL have a sandbed... right now there's some stuff that sort of blows around So I see you did not include crushed coral on that list... maybe not seeing it will encourage users to get rid of it.

I should update. 5 days after waiting for a response, I got an e-mail that the part was shipped, like an invoice e-mail. They never asked about the problem or anything, just took my word for it. I'm grateful to have what I needed, but they should have responded sooner so that I didn't feel like I was being ignored. I'm tempted to believe that there are only a couple people involved with this company.

Well, it was like a couple weeks before I could even access the members only boards so I had no idea what all I would be able to get out of it. It took me that long to realize that having BB under my name meant that as far as the forum is concerned, I wasn't a WAMAS member when I was/am.

what are people who use the pc fans doing to hold them when there is no hood? Is there some kind of clamp or something?

My clowns have eggs frequently in my tank, but I'm assuming things eat them before they get a chance to hatch (like the cleaner shrimp I had - caught him having a feast).

Joining WAMAS would definately be well worth the $20.00. I had my doubts when I initially joined, but the doubts were lifted almost immediately.

the very old power supplies are small - they can manage several fans and still only take maybe half the power as much power as newer ones. The problem is that they are so old that you wont even find them in the garbage.

why cant people put these things together faster so we don't have to wait for updates?

Theres no wiring to do if you use a comp pwr supply and comp fans. There are wires on the pwr supply box with connectors to connect to comp fans. You need to have a comp pwr cord - they don't come with the pwr supply. You should get the kind that has an on/off switch on it - the cheaper ones don't have it. You can get extensions to make the connecting wires much longer to give you more options for where you keep the pwr supply box. Just dont get the pwr supply or the connetions wet.
