  1. Oh wow. I bet that was hard to swallow for him. What happened to it?
  2. Nice job! Very good read. The guy at Oregon Reef has an incredible reef tank to go along with his cold water tanks.
  3. That thing's going to break the glass and eat you and the camera one day. lol Cool video. I used to keep smaller mantis shrimp a couple of years ago. Very interesting and entertaining little creatures.
  4. Gorgeous. Where'd you get those?
  5. I'd like to say thank you to the vendors that are active here and continue to support the club with discounts, sales, donations, help, and advice. I think we are all very lucky to have access to such shops, people, information, and livestock. Keep up the great work! And the great corals, fish, inverts, and deals coming!
  6. Sending you a pm.
  7. That ORA's fault. They haven't updated their site in a long while. John... ARGH to you lol. I should have waited 2 days to get that tang and urchin. The bird of paradise and borealis are on my want list!
  8. I was just looking at the Naso. Let me email John at BRK and see what he has and how much. I'll let you know after I hear from him. I'd like to get one no more than a few inches so it won't be too cramped in the 30 and it'll have a bit of room to grow while it munches.
  9. I like tangs. Just just really don't have a place for it besides the 40. The tang police would raid my house for keeping it there after it cleared up the sump. LOL. If I'm spending that much to eat this stuff it's living in the spare bedroom and better at least clean and make me dinner a few nights a week!
  10. I'm up in the air on what to get. Don't wanna spend more than 50 on one. Any preference given the spending limit?
  11. If I decide a tang is the solution would you be interested in adopting it after it clears up the problem? Free of charge of course. I just don't have enough room in the 40 display or 30 sump to keep it after it gets bigger. I'm not interested in placing it in the 75 or 90 either.
  12. 100% positive. Not the greatest pic but... There's some growing on the glass so it blurs the amount growing on the rocks.

    Various photos from my tanks.
  14. I was thinking a yellow after reading Chip's reply. I'm not really interested in an expensive or flashy fish since the sump lighting is opposite of the display and it would go unnoticed except during feeding or occasional looks to check everything out. I'm also a bit concerned how a fish would do during water changes. The sump is where I drain and replenish the water from during changes. It may be ok considering the starfish and spiny lobster I have in there now make it through fine. I do heat the water to tank temps after mixing and letting it sit for 24 hours before I add it.
  15. It went asexual. Second time it's done it actually. Seems every time the clump gets around a certain size it happens. There's some in the display but like before it dying back and vanishing. In the sump it's growing though. I'd rather put some egg crate between my clump of it and rock pile and have something eat it off the rocks versus removing the rocks and picking/pruning it from them. It may be time to weigh other macro's for the sump. Funny though. It only does it in one tank.
  16. If I may ask what type of tangs? There may be a sump tang in my future.
  17. No tangs here. I'm more interested in something that would eat/clean it from some rocks in a sump.
  18. As the title say. Just wondering if anything makes a meal on it?
  19. It surprises me to hear people say they don't see their pistols often. I have 2 in 2 different tanks. One is paired with a yellow watchman in my 40 sps tank and the other is in the 75 elegance/frogspawn/hammer tank with a red banded hi-fin goby. Both of them are like little bulldozers. They move the gravel constantly or are at the front of the tank hanging out near whichever den they decide they like for the day. Which type do you guys have? Both of mine are tigers.
  20. Any chance there'll be a Reef Crystals sale in the future? That'd be a great way to kick off your coral system when it's up and stocked.
  21. Your tank had a white christmas.

    Hello

    Welcome to WAMAS!
  23. I'll second that TOTM. I told him the very same thing the first time I saw the tank.
