TonyB13 April 10, 2020 Author Share April 10, 2020 The best 60 dollars I have spent in a long ars time. So I started to fill my tank and it was out of level I think my tank weight is at least a 1000 pounds if not not more I'm like crap how am I gonna lift this. I ran across these little blades online at lowes looking for plastic wedges. I knew that there was no way this little bag would budge that tank but sure as you know what I used two bags popped up one end reached under unscrewed legs and good to go. TonyB13 April 12, 2020 Author Share April 12, 2020 (edited) Checking for leaks and I got my rock from chewy way cheaper than anyone else and seems really clean and lots of holes. One piece so far seems solid but rest pretty Lacey Edited April 12, 2020 by TonyB13
ImGoingCoastal April 12, 2020 Share April 12, 2020 Nice! How big are the pieces of rock? Almost ordered some but saw it said that 40 lbs was two massive pieces.Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

TonyB13 April 15, 2020 Author Share April 15, 2020 Oh how I wish I would have paid better attention in Mrs. Dauncies art class! I really suck at this and not my favorite thing to do in the aquarium. Well now that I have whined here are all the rocks in one shot. The middle portion is my attempted aquscaping
TonyB13 April 15, 2020 Author Share April 15, 2020 What do you think? Wall of rocks?
WheresTheReef April 15, 2020 Share April 15, 2020 You might consider breaking some rocks apart to make more interesting shapes. I thought this was a nice video for you. .
thakki April 15, 2020 Share April 15, 2020 Like the plumbing...but agree with wherethereef, to aquascape could use some adjustments. I would open it up a little with more swimming room between the structures. Also, with a wall like aquascape, you will have all sorts of detritus collected between and under rocks creating problems in the future. Just my 2 cents. YHSublime April 17, 2020 Share April 17, 2020 Bear with me here, as this photo is from and completed on my phone. Here is what I would do, YMMV, as aquascaping is very personal IMO. I would take #1 and move it over onto the pile on the left hand side, and remove the rock with the red X through it. I would take #2 and pull it vertical and see how it looks flat, possibly remove it, hard to say without looking at it in person. I'd take rock #3 and rotate it (so the side that is pictured on the left currently is facing the front of the tank) and then I would drop it down (essentially "push it over" onto it's side if you were to push from the front) I'd then get rid of the rock with the red X through it and take rock #4 and just flip it like 60 degrees to the left so it's leaning onto rock #3. ImGoingCoastal April 18, 2020 Share April 18, 2020 I think you need a mixture of rock. Maybe get a box or two of some small to medium stuff you could mix in?Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
Cliff Puckstable April 18, 2020 Share April 18, 2020 I like those two variations much better. They look more “natural” imo. I recommend keeping the top of the tank open to allow fish to swim freely.
Mattb1612 April 18, 2020 Share April 18, 2020 So vary the height it will give it different contrast. Also look at Stone fix and see about making some arches and passage ways I’ve seen some really cool aqua scapes lately. Lu who won tank of the month has a really cool aqua scape.
