Are you using Autocad? It's been years since I've messed with it myself (my profession builds scale models so we use these). I remember years ago you had to convert the dwg file into some file format to do the printing so the work flow wasn't extremely efficient but I assume it's simpler now. Good luck w/ that new toy. Nice mod to your house for the exhaust.

I use a combination of Affinity Designer and LightBurn for all my laser stuff.  And then SketchUp for my 3d printer and overall design.

 

Yah adding an insert to my window for the exhaust was a must.  the fumes some things put off when laser cutting is really bad.  Found out laser cutting Lexan is a big no no.  It puts of chlorine gas when cut with a laser.

Glad to hear the tank is getting back on track, Seth! I also had a tank crash over the summer, but have gotten back, just not quite to where I was.

So, can you laser engrave any material? Sounds neat!
