Hey Y’all!! Are Salifert test kits still pretty reliable? Anything new? I just got up and running. My tank is cycling now. Let me know. Thanks!!!

After trying many over the years, I'm most consistent with the following:

Alkalinity - Hanna (hands down the easiest)

Calcium - Red Sea Pro (I just cant get consistent results with the Salifert kit)

Magnesium - Salifert (piece of cake to use but I just ordered the AquaForest to test out)

Phosphate - Hanna ULR (dont bother with anything else)

Nitrate - Salifert is about as easy as it gets and consistent

Agreed on all these!

I think premium aquatics has the best sale on salifert at 35% right now.

I too prefer hanna for alk and phosphate.

Red sea for Ca and Mg.

Salifert for no3.

I do also keep salifert for alk, po3, ca, and mg as backup.
