Refugium light suggestions

I am currently using a clip on light from HD over the cheato in my fuge, but after a month I am not getting much growth.  Is anyone having good luck with a clip on lamp?  Other Suggestions ? I am being cheap and not trying to spend $80-$100 on a fuge light.  Thanks

It also depends on the bulb youre using. Is it one of those red LED bulbs?

I don't have the bulb info in front of me, but it was recommended by another site.  It is not red.  I might just bite the bullet and get the Mars Hydro

I put this over my fuge, and am pulling pounds of chaeto and caulerpa out.  Screw it into your clipon, and you're good to go.

I run the same type of light. Grows chaeto well.

I use a standard t8 aquarium bulb, and macros grow really well with it.

I use a 100 watt fluorescent from HD  and a 10 dollar reflector from same store over my main fuge  15 bucks... Grows cheato great..
