edress714 January 18, 2016 January 18, 2016 I've had this for months, only had 3 heads and now has a bunch more. I haven't seen it open up the past 3 days. Everyone else is healthy. What makes it do this? These are Duncans right?
YHSublime January 18, 2016 January 18, 2016 They are duncans. Mine do that from time to time, they might be eating. Probably not for 3 days though. Have you changed your flow lately, or moved them? Or lighting? I found a sweet spot in my nano, and now they open up all the time.
edress714 January 18, 2016 Author January 18, 2016 Has been in the sand all the time. Haven't changed a thing. When should I be worried and it looks like it's dying?
YHSublime January 18, 2016 January 18, 2016 It looks retracted, not dying. Is there something around it that might be bothering it or stinging it? A fish or a shrimp or crab that is crawling on it?
gmerek2 January 19, 2016 January 19, 2016 Don't fret. Mine have stayed closed up for over a week. No reason.
AlanM January 19, 2016 January 19, 2016 Any possibility that your alkalinity is creeping up without you noticing?
sen5241b January 23, 2016 January 23, 2016 Did the light change in any way? Did bulb get old and lose PAR?
AUFishGuy January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 I have the same issue randomly. mine wil look fine and then an hour later be completely retracted for no reason. I have just let it go at this point.
