jbarre03 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I'm looking into getting a bio reactor but there are about three that I like and can't decide between. Right now I have a TLF to run my GFO and it does well for me. I'm looking into either getting a reef octopus, hydra aquatics, or just staying with a TLF one. What do you guys use? YHSublime May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I don't use a reactor, yet, but if i ever did, I really enjoy what Avast has to offer.
jbarre03 May 22, 2015 Author Share May 22, 2015 I've looked into those also. I like Avast. This is the one I'm looking at right now
AlanM May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 That one will probably work. Just about any reactor of that design will work. I'm running two different Avast MR5 reactors which are nice and sturdy and take about 10 minutes to build. You just need a pipe blowing down into the pellets and an outlet on the top, nothing fancy. Bet someone has one that will work sitting around for cheap if you post a WTB.
tom39 May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 I have used the Reef Octopus BR110 before and thought it worked well.
wangspeed May 23, 2015 Share May 23, 2015 Hands down the Reef Dynamics. Love mine and the recirculating ability. Avast has recirculating BP reactors now too, but I haven't personally tried one. -- Warren
