Im sure this topic has been debated quite a bit and understand it relies heavily on personal opinion. I did a quick search but didn't find anything solid. If I missed it then I'm sorry.

I have a 36x18x12 frag tank. It is currently lit by a Kessil A360we. The few pieces I have are doing great but I can already see the shadowing effect from LED's everyone speaks of on my SPS. Point is I am switching over to a 6 bulb ATI dimmable sunpower. If it was a 4 bulb setup I would be set on a combination of two Blue Plus and two Coral Plus. I have seen a couple tanks on forums with this and I like the look and results. Im not really into the real heavy blue look. If needed I could always supplement with a reefbrite later on for a more actinic look. Is there any other bulb that anyone would recommend I add since I have 2 slots open to play with? Purple Plus? Otherwise I could just go 3 and 3.

I have KZ bulbs and love them.

I use a mix of superblue, new generation 14k, and Fiji purple.

Has a nice 20k look.

ATI Coral + is a nice combo of white and blue. I started as blue as I could stand, and then worked back from there, I ended up with 6 blue + 2 coral +, I like the look.

My 4 bulb has 2 blue plus, a purple plus and coral plus. My 8 bilb has 4 blue +, 2 coral+ and 1 each purple and pink. Thafs more of a blue look than what im getting from my 4 bulb fixture

I have run this exact 4 bulb combo for many many years. Only thing I have ever substituted is the ATI Purple+ for a KZ Fiji Purple. I am currently playing with the new Giesemann bulbs and am liking them too.

wilfredo, I should have some extra 24-watters laying around in the garage i'll toss in with your light for free so you can try them out and see what you like. i'll make sure to get some blue+ and coral+ and purple+ if I can find them all.

I think the aquablue special is also worth consideration as it provides a nice spread of spectrum but more white (14000k) visually. a good bulb for balance. you'll figure it out.
