Guest clownfish4 March 28, 2006 March 28, 2006 Wow, if that's a 6' 125g the anemone and frogspawn are ENORMOUS!
dzekunoi March 28, 2006 Author March 28, 2006 Very sweet Clarkii clowns, they got great colors! They are almost black! Do they age and turn black? Wow, if that's a 6' 125g the anemone and frogspawn are ENORMOUS! Frogspawn is the most recent addition - it's size of a basketball. LTA is foot wide + tenticles when fully expanded. Love looking at them... And feed. So alive! i was today in her house and the tank is so beautiful... congratulations Inna, Nice Job Antonio Thanks, it was nice to meet you! And you forgot that epoxy I gave you. that tanks noice! what made you decide to go with the mixed sand? i think it looks cool personally though.that frogspawn is enormous!!! Thanks Alex, I saw this sand in a catalog and just could not help it - spent a fortune on "live aragonite" - did not know better at that time . But I like how it looks. nice lookin tank...cant wait to see it with those clams M-m-m, Can not wait to get them!!!! Awesome tank! I would love to see more pics. I'll post more!

Guest HVF21221 March 28, 2006 March 28, 2006 Most Clarkii clowns darken with age but since yours are from Vanuatu they should keep alot of that bright yellow.
Eve March 28, 2006 March 28, 2006 Very nice looking - great color :-) Watch that anemone (that moves) in front of the SPS (that can't get away)!
dzekunoi March 28, 2006 Author March 28, 2006 Very nice looking - great color :-) Watch that anemone (that moves) in front of the SPS (that can't get away)! Yes, I've been thinking the same... If it start walking might get that fire coral of mine. But I really like the anemone. Has anybody thought of an "anemone cage"? I was thinking about something like this
Eve March 28, 2006 March 28, 2006 Years ago I had a LTA that kept getting bigger and bigger in a tank that started out as a softies/LPS tank but was slowly turning into an SPS tank. I anemone was in a stable place it liked and never moved - but it just kept growing - so I would try to hem it in with rocks building them up all around it. The anemone wasn't happy and neither was I because it just didn't look right. Hurricane Isabel solved the problem :bigcry:

I remember you in Gaithersburg did not have electricity for a week. I read LTA in captivity grow up to 12" in captivity, mine is already that big. Hope it does not grow anymore. Maybe I should distress it to make split, or use Calfo's anemone cutting technique :idea2:
Eve March 28, 2006 March 28, 2006 Can you give details (point me to an article) about the Calfo technique? I have a rose BTA in my 90 gallon that I'm already watching closely <_<
