lnevo October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 You could expand that hole if there is one. You can also add a piece of airline tubing into the hold and adjust it up or down till the gurgling stops.

Tommy October 13, 2014 Author Share October 13, 2014 Ok I drilled the hole on the cap a little bigger and it's still making the noise , maybe just a tad quieter , looking for some airline tubing now to try the other method . Also I made a cover for my overflow and I find that with the cover on its a lot louder than when it's not .

paul b October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 I hate it when pipes die. I still have two dragon's, 2 bluestripes and one multi banded. I just love pipes,
YHSublime October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 The hole probably ends to be bigger, take the cap off and I bet the gurgling will stop. You need to find the right amount of air vs water.
John Ford October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 Drill another smaller hole and see how it goes. You'll find that sweet spot and you don't need a hose. Unless we're talking about Super Models and sweet spots. Then maybe we will need a hose

John Ford October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 My drain has 3- 1/8th inch holes in it. It's pretty quiet. I almost left it with two but I'm glad I drilled a third hole.
CaptainRon October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 In the past, I've kept drilling until the sound started getting a little louder then covered the hole with tape.

zygote2k October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 try turning down the flow of the return pump with the valve. you'r eprobably pumping more water than the drain can handle.
Tommy October 16, 2014 Author Share October 16, 2014 I drilled 5 holes and it didn't reduce any noises, put an airline hose in it and that did it. Thanks guys !!!
