dmatt56 June 22, 2014 June 22, 2014 Hello everyone, My reef tank has been established for well over 3-5 years now (depending which tank the corals and rock came from). I'd like to add ONE more larger rock to my tank. What's the best way for doing this without adding a pest, aptasia, nitrate/phosphate spike, hitchhiker, copper treated rock, or other potential problem? Should I just get a piece of dry rock and let it cure in my tank (180G)? Thanks, Matt

trockafella June 22, 2014 June 22, 2014 Dry rock is by far the easiest and safest way. Cheaper too. What's the point of buying live rock to kill it all off.

epleeds June 22, 2014 June 22, 2014 (edited) Or get some real reef rock. No pests there. And it's already purple, not white Edited June 22, 2014 by epleeds

smallreef June 23, 2014 June 23, 2014 Get a cool piece of cerameco? Lol Unless you already have a specific rock you want, I'd do that or a dry rock....
