morgan175 June 3, 2014 June 3, 2014 If my tank went over 81 degrees today would that cause my ducans and blasto to close up. Next question where can I get a small fan to hook up with my halides. I want them to come on same time. Will that help. Don't want to buy chiller. No ac in room it's in a basement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gmerek2 June 3, 2014 June 3, 2014 Mine was at 80 today with no close up. It may have closed from irritation from pieces of dirt or who knows. Mine shut for a full week once. I linked it to algae growing near it and whipping it. Tiny strand barely visible. I have LEDs so can't answer last question
morgan175 June 3, 2014 Author June 3, 2014 This does not make me happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gmerek2 June 3, 2014 June 3, 2014 Mine do that from time to time how long they been shut? If it's just today don't worry about it yet. It's just the one side. Could have been blasted that side with sand or poop
morgan175 June 4, 2014 Author June 4, 2014 Think I just figured it out. Phosphate up to .23. Thanks to another post. Hopefully I can solve it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would not assume your problem (if it truly is a problem) is PO4. Many factors weigh into assuming (it's always an assumption since there are so many variables) a cause. Pizzaguy has had this issue for a long time and has done many things to narrow down the cause. There are many great tanks (including SPS dominant) w/ PO4 higher than that and thrive. If you search for a few TOTM on wamas as well as RC, you will find tanks w/ elevated numbers. Consistency is key.
nova423 June 5, 2014 June 5, 2014 My duncans will stay closed for apparently no reason for a few days, then I will see a new baby bump. Corals are finicky sometimes params are fine but they close up just cause they feel like it. My 2 cents.
morgan175 June 5, 2014 Author June 5, 2014 Thanks to all for the info. Just worried. We shall see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
morgan175 June 8, 2014 Author June 8, 2014 Well it looks bigger. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gmerek2 June 8, 2014 June 8, 2014 So did you run GFO to lower phosphates or did it just decide to close for a few days? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
morgan175 June 9, 2014 Author June 9, 2014 Well I can't answer your question correctly. Yes I changed my gfo but I think it was multiplying. Wish I could have let it go for a couple days but I can't take the chance. I really like the piece. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
