Squishie89 September 22, 2014 Author September 22, 2014 I thought I would share a photo of how A1 is these days. She still is a bit rough. She is mostly purple now with hints of green on her left. My male clown is not allowed in the anemone that could fit ~5 clowns, so he uses A1 has his host. I think A1 would do better without Jon using her as a host, but she is stable. It will be interesting to see what happens during/after the re-build as A1 will be babysat in someone elses tank as I believe she is too fragile to handle the move(s).
gmerek2 September 22, 2014 September 22, 2014 Seems to be shrinking. When they are shrinking slowly on a weekly basis that is a bad sign and eventually they will shrink to nothing. I would find a babysitter soon like you mentioned. Still looks somewhat healthy though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
gmerek2 September 22, 2014 September 22, 2014 I have an expensive nem that has had similar problems. They seem to change color with water chemistry and lighting. We may never see the colors again that they came with but seller stated mine will color up and do better in 8plus PH. It is doing better now that I keep it higher but it isn't big enough to know for sure what the colors are going to do. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Squishie89 September 22, 2014 Author September 22, 2014 I don't think she has ever fully recovered from her ordeal. I am hoping that maybe her vacation will help and the new build will also help. As far as I can tell she has stayed the same size since she came out of rehab, which is both good and bad.
Squishie89 January 10, 2015 Author January 10, 2015 I wanted to update on A1's progress. She has been recovering by leaps and bounds. These were taken tonight Not only has she gotten back a lot of her normal colors, she is growing too. I am so incredibly proud of this creature for not giving up. I do not think she is 100% healed yet. She lost A LOT of zoox. but I feel she is close, maybe another 2-4 months. Here she is with her 2 anemone buddies A2A AND A2B, they all get along, no fighting or chemical warfare.
smallreef January 10, 2015 January 10, 2015 Wow! Looking great! I had one that almost died...and came back really well once I let the water get a bit dirtier....
Squishie89 January 10, 2015 Author January 10, 2015 Wow! Looking great! I had one that almost died...and came back really well once I let the water get a bit dirtier.... Thanks! Well the water is plenty dirty. I hope one day she gets the glow back she once had but I am just happy she has color again and looks happy!
smallreef January 10, 2015 January 10, 2015 (edited) Im surprised that her bubbles came back...her color definently looks so much better than your earlier pictures when she was so tiny... Good luck, definently seems like she's doing great! Edited January 10, 2015 by smallreef
rtelles January 10, 2015 January 10, 2015 This is a really great thread. It's amazing how far along the nem has come in a year, considering the shape it was in. I recently picked up a rbta that had recently split and the smaller of the two looked absolutely haggard and had almost no stickiness. It has since improved and reading through threads like this was really helpful. Glad to see it's doing well!
