DBL January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 Hi everyone. My hammer coral is not doing good and its been like this for the past week. Its the only one in the tank that is like this, everything else (mostly LPS) is doing fine. It started when I stared using Zeovit amino acids concentrate. Here is a pic All parameters are good and so its the temperature. Any ideas what it could be?

flooddc January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 From my experience, some of the heads tend to died sometime for no reason and grow new head else where. You can stop dosing to see if it recover. GL

tomtom2245 January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 My hammer does that from time to time. There will be a week or two span where it doesn't open fully and seems retracted. Never corresponded to any kind of change in the tank and it was back and right as rain before I knew it.

wangspeed January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 Doesn't look bad to me in that pic. It's just not fully extended.

Jason Rhoads January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 I wouldn't worry about this one. It looks normal to me (albeit not fully extended). Did you change the flow around it at all?
