Duke November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 Okay, so there I was Sitting in front of my tank, watching it cycle. I was closely observing all the rocks until I spotted these two here. They have anemone like features. They have a sack that they go in and out of, they have a middle section for the mouth and bubbles surrounding the middle. Could it maybe be a little bta?
YHSublime November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 (edited) Looks like you've got a Ball Anemone. At least from the pics. Could be aptasia, but it looks like a Pseudocorynactis. Google told me so. Edited November 12, 2013 by YHSublime
trockafella November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 There are a large vareity of pest anemones out there, I have had them in all kinds of colors.. The pic the OP posted isnt very good (no offense) so its hard to tell, but im willing to bet its not a BTA.
YHSublime November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 Majano.. Pennywise told me so. This is a better guess than my "Google Guess." It is hard to tell from the pic, agreed. I know what it's like trying to get those shots though.
Duke November 12, 2013 Author November 12, 2013 I found these online, "Club tip anemone" Looks really close. I'm wondering if I should get rid of it now before it spreads. But it's nice to see some life while the tank is cycling
Origami November 12, 2013 November 12, 2013 Oh yeah, really looks like a ball (aka strawberry) anemone with those little "balls" at the ends of the tentacles. Leave it be.
