That's seems a little high to me, about $1,000 higher than the price I got from Adam at Artfully Acrylic.

That tank is from the infamous Richard Gould (Aqua Art) out of Ohio. I have over the years replaced two of his tanks that failed. One of which was an 1100 gallon tank made with 1" and a 600 gallon made with 1/2"

 

You'll see his ads all over the country on Craigslist. My experience with his products has been very poor (F-)

Oh wow. But probably very few people would consider a 680G tank an equal swap for a car....or a heat pump...nice try though.

I have seen that 680 in person's, its made of glass and The seams were not looking good

That tanks an incredible size for $5k though. Too bad it's not in great shape. Must weight a ton.
