STEVE October 29, 2012 Share October 29, 2012 Depending on the Make and Model, $1200 for a 10k generator is very normal. I have a 3500 watt Honda EU that sells for $2500.00, but it is an inverter generator, makes a big difference. Inverters are far less noiser. I just spent 600.00 for a 5000watt Homelite that will run pretty much my whole house, less the AC, Stove, Dryer, Microwave, ...everything else though.
