Rosco's Reefs June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 Many of us have had dealings with Leroy on the past, I'm sure both good and wonderful, as well as frustrating. I stopped by their website tonite to see what was new and learned this news. Leroy was somewhat of a force in reefing and he will be missed. As they said on his site, " Keep his family in your prayers."
zygote2k June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 Too bad- he was a driving force in the early years of aquaculture.
Chad June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 Wow, that's very sad, I have talked to Leroy many times. The conversations were always interesting. My thoughts go to Sally Jo.
mogurnda June 6, 2012 June 6, 2012 That's too bad. He was a great guy, and a character. Both he and Sally Jo had health problems over the years, and I guess this time it was too much.

Coral Hind June 6, 2012 June 6, 2012 I got that bit of sad news last night via an email. He was a pioneer that greatly advanced the hobby and I learned so much back in the mid 90's on how to propagate mushrooms and other corals from their site. Watching Sally Jo's first "Bullet Proof" tank cycle and grow with normal output T12 tubes was always a weekly treat. He will indeed be missed.
DC_Reef June 6, 2012 June 6, 2012 I will say a prayer tonight for his friends and family. I ordered my first "clean up" crew from Leroy many moons ago for my nano tank in college, great guy.
