Ok, I got tired of my small tank and am going to upgrade.......again. Imagine that, me upgrading tanks. "I'll bet it will be for sale in 2 months".......there, I took care of the wise cracks for everyone.

Now, for the kicker. I've just had some pretty major surgery and can't lift anything so this is asking for people to lift while I watch. I'd like to pick the tank and stand up a week from Saturday but I'll need like 6 people to help (it's a 250g DD tank). I could also use another pickup truck or SUV because it comes with the stand and canopy.

Is anyone available to help?

Pick up point would be in Annandale and moving the tank to Woodbridge. Not sure of the obstacles in Annandale, but putting in my house should be relatively easy. No steps and no tight corners.

I can offer my husband for labor, I'll sit back with you and we can supervise ;)

Steve, I am the owner of the 40gal breeder, your old one... I can assist if needed and if it helps I have a full size pickup... PM me for the details date/time/adddress/etc...

Tom

Instead of selling it in 2 months, why don't you use the tank movers and move it right to the next owners' house? It will save you a ton of labor and expense further down the road.

Depending on the time on Saturday I can help and I have a 4x4 s-10 too.... and I live in woodbridge :) (though Im a female I can lift a fair amount :)

Thanks all. I will continue to work out the details and let everyone know. I'm going to try to get a furniture dolly to make things easier on everyone.

Marisa - Deal! I'll let you break the news to Justin.

Rob - I should have expected this from you. I take it that you are volunteering to help?

Don't about lifting anything Steve but I'm more than willing to supervise with you! We can call it the handicap section!

This looks like it's going to be a govment job!!!....4 working and 5 supervisors!biggrin.gif If I'm not at work, I will be more than glad to help!

Steve- I might be able to lend a hand after my ride in Fountainhead Park on Sat morning. I'll be done about 11am. I assume this tank will be going in the basement. If so, why dont you make some sort of rollers or a ton of pvc sections to roll it across the yard? Just like one of those Easter Island heads being moved by the natives. Keep the dolly for hard surfaces like the floor. You'll need some big suction cups too.

Easy Rob....that sounds like something a bunch of yahoos would do.biggrin.gif

Guys,

I need to see your permit and ID s before anything can be done. Also, a detailed funding plan and future projection outcomes and expectations need to be presented during a team meeting. Please, take a moment to fill in your time sheets after each task is completed.

OR

We simply do not have the budget to complete this project. We are temporarily suspending this project until further notice. Thank you!

LOL!

Ok, so far it looks like we have the trucks to get it, and Justin, Tom, SmallReef, Muddy, Ryan, Rob and Steve to help? Looks like I'm going to have to have lots of beer on hand and will be ordering a pizza or 2.

I'm going to scope out the tank this weekend and figure out how easy........or hard this is going to be. I'll let everyone know.
