lowsingle February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 So I have been contemplating setting up a large fish only with live rock (FOWLR) tank to keep some fish that I have wanted for some time but are just not reef safe. It has been a long time since I have kept an angel fish or a butterfly so I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations from their experience. Below are several fish I am thinking of keeping (of course, not all of them): Angels: Regal angelfish Imperator angelfish blue-face angelfish majestic angelfish flame red stripe rock beauty Butterfly: False facula (double saddle) Pakistani saddle back wrasses: harlequin tusk green bird dragon misc: longhorn cowfish panda puffer morish idol marine betta batfish Let me know if you had any other recommendations.....Also if you had any experience with aggression that would be nice to know...... thanks for your insights, Darren
Ryan S February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 Darren, You don't have any of my favorite FOWLR fish on your list! (Triggers!)
Incredible Corals February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 Queen angel!
Coral Hind February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 You need some groupers on there! I don't recommend the marine betta as it will hide most of the day since they are nocturnal.
dbartco February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 I do have a black trigger for trade if you want. I had to take down my FOWLR, he was the only one that I did not want in my reef.
dbartco February 28, 2012 Share February 28, 2012 I think you should quickly pick up the scribbled angel pair on DD and get a Tinker's Butterfly pair!
zygote2k February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 How about a Blueline Trigger? I service a tank that has one and it seems to be quite peaceful.
Chad February 29, 2012 Share February 29, 2012 I am a huge fan of semilvartus butterflies, a few of those would be awesome!
