So - I'm trying to find some sand that wont blow around so much, particularly on the top shelf. I currently have Caribsea Fiji pink, it's a bit too fine. Something with larger particle size and more heft to do a better job staying put, but not large like crushed coral. Any ideas?

I was looking into the same sand issue a couple of weeks ago and came across Tropic Edens Reef Flakes or Mini Flakes. Those might be good options. I forgot whose tank it was on here that was using it but it looked pretty good.

Thanks! Looks like a pretty solid recommendation.

Working on reducing the rock. Got rid of some on the top:

And thinking of getting rid of the big rock on the top left? What do you think?

Just did a quick search. It was dipg's tank. There are a bunch of close up pics so you can see what the grains look like. I'm just trying to figure out a way of how to swap my sand out. :why:

Awesome, thanks. I plan on sucking mine out with tubing.

I think it would be to symmetrical if you got rid of the other big rock. Like a Mohawk right down the middle.

Isaac your vote is to keep it as is?

How about something like this ?

Or this ?

That is pretty awesome. I think the problem is that it would fill up my tank really quick, before any coral growth. I do like the idea of having the corals grow out like the rocks get out here.

Piece of strawberry shortcake from Incredible Corals. It's starting to get very hairy, it's happy in its new spot.

Interwebs may be slow on the upload. The light is killer man. Huge improvement over Sol. T5s plus LED FTW
