What 3 common things about your tank, taking care of a tank, other people's tanks, etc. bother you the most? (leave out catastrophic unexpected events)

I would have to say the top three for me r

 

1-cleaning my power heads, hate having to remove them and try and get them in the same places again

2-cleaning the corners of my tank, mag float get almost all of it then u have to finish by hand

3-mixing my salt water for water changes takes me several days to get everything done before I can do the water change..

 

all in all it is fairly easy or at least I try to make it easy

my top 3-

1) People who expect the most but want to pay the least.

2) People who overfeed their fish tank and wonder why their fish die unexpectedly when the nitrates are 200+ppm.

3) Equipment that doesn't work as promised.

The giant glass center brace on my oceanic tank.

Tanks that have t5 fixtures with all blue bulbs or no white bulbs.

Any maintenance on my tank I enjoy except changing out Kalk because it's in a bad spot and hard to get too. If I didn't enjoy taking care of my tank I wouldn't have one.

-I HATE testing.... so don't do it

-I have trust issues with thermometers so I have three, and they still all have different temperatures by 2 degrees each so I wish there were accurate thermometers

-Manually topping off water in my nano, once you go ATO you should never go back...

*People who want everyone else to do there homework/research

 

*Pushy LED people (not just Zygote)

1- Nuisance Algae and not having a tank large enough for a tang or foxface to put in and eat it.

 

2- Scraping coralline algae off the bottom/sides of the tank.

 

3- Ugly aquascape's, and people who don't have a very good "eye" for what looks nice/natural.

1. The temperature swings in the tank and trying to stabilize them during the Summer months and not having a Chiller.

 

2. T5's and all there different configurations to try and get the perfect lighting look!!

 

3. Cyano!

1. Lending Equipment/Supplies out on good faith and never getting them back or having to struggle to get them back

2. My RK2 doesn't interface with my new PC (worked great on old PC)

3. Cleaning filter socks
