angel not fish September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 Every time that I apply the cyclop eeze in my tank, it floats up and goes directly towards the reef ready chamber. Does anyone know how to use it?
dakotasreef September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 Buy the frozen, it is much easier to use. You can pre soak the one you have and that should help
CaptainMorgan September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 You apply it to your forehead. It prevents that third eye thing.

Does anyone know how to use it? hold it under the water until it's soaked, then let it float around. It might help to turn off the main pump.
Sugar Magnolia September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 I'm not a big fan of the freeze dried. I bought a container and am very disappointed. :( Soaking it helps some though.
LanglandJoshua September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 When I used cyclopeeze I put it in a small container of water. Then I used a micro fine net to drain it of the water. That let me just dip it in the tank, without adding their water into my tank. However I found something at BRS that I really like. Reef Chili, it us freeze dried. But not wet, you get much more food in a smaller container. My clam will pulse pulling more water in, when the food is in the tank. All my fish love it, even my corals and mandarin gobies. It is also much faster and easier to add, no waiting, no filtering out, no food caught in the net.
lowsingle September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 FME, it is best to use the frozen form of cyclopeeze......every freeze dried food I have used always does the same thing....they float to the top and go over the overflow....regardless of whether I pre-soak it. You can try to use a turkey baster and and shoot it onto your LPS and softies.....I do this with flake food all the time and it works great. cheers, Darren
zygote2k September 24, 2011 September 24, 2011 speaking of slurries, I used to target feed a wet mix of spray dried phyto and cyclopeeze freeze dried. eaten everywhere- even at your house.
dbartco September 25, 2011 September 25, 2011 For some freeze dried thinhgs, I have had luck soaking well in a container, pouring it through a seive and squeezing, then returning it to the water. Seems to squeeze the air out of it and it seems to sink better. Do a lot and put in bags and freeze for later..
