Throw it in the woods or keep it?

Got a rescue Elegance that had been attacked by Angelfish. It was only in the tank about a week and now it has been eaten down about a 1/2" all around. It doesn't show any signs of brown jelly, but I'm kinda concerned because of all the other corals in the tank. Should I throw in the woods for the squirrels or is it worth rescuing? If you think it's worth rescuing, you can have it.

I would probably hang onto it just to see if I could get it to pull through... but the reality of it is I have never seen an elegance recover once it begins to ail.
