BowieReefer84 August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 A while back I remember seeing some long acrylic feeding tubes with a suction ball on the end... Who was it selling those, and are they still available? I have been using a turkey baster, but its too short with too big an opening for target feeding imo. Thanks, Mike
Reefoholic August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 I attached a 15" rigid tube to some flexible tube to an injector. It is pretty simple to make. It is ideal for spot feeding.
Origami August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 Mike, it was PaulB who made them. I have two. Mine use a 60 ml rubber bulb (search for it on Amazon and you'll find them for about $6 each) and a piece of acrylic tubing (sized to fit) bent to an angle about 4 inches from the end.
FearTheTerps August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 I remember what you are talking about, the suction balls were red and the tip of the rod was angled, can't really remember who it was that made them though. I'm leaning towards PaulB, he is always tinkering with stuff and sharing his designs with us. But I thought the person had them for sale at a meeting, I don't think Paul made the trip from New York to sell some turkey basters tho.
Origami August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 Paul sold some at the meeting that he spoke at. He also donated several to the raffle for the same meeting.
FearTheTerps August 10, 2011 August 10, 2011 Oh ok, that was before I started coming to the meetings. Sorry I miss that one, Paul always has interesting insights on the hobby
paul b August 14, 2011 August 14, 2011 That was me, and you can get them here, they are called large rubber bulbs http://www.labdepotinc.com/Product_Details~id~344~pid~12713.aspx
