I can't stand liars, cheats and thieves (yep been one myself back in the day) I pmed Smiley asking about those superduperfandangled sps Sonny had he said he had in - (which were all subsequently gone already that day) - and asked if it was worth the trip or just another one of Sonny's antics to get people into the store so they'll spend money even if what he said he has isn't there anymore - since we will usually spend money if we make the trip. (3 hour round trip for me) My response - Yeah whatever - kiss (edited for political correctness and PG rating ) I can ask anyone anything via pm on any forum - EXCEPT this one. I simply asked Smiley if it was worth the trip or if you were just trying to hype it up to get people to go up there. I would be highly surprised if you were open for another year or two. Especially with your attitude. Word of mouth travels wayyyyyyy faster than your antics. You work off lies, deceipt, and strong arm sales tactics. I'm tired of it and so are a BUNCH of people in the area. That is why I get calls and pm's about all the crap you have pulled in the past and why people don't go there anymore. Hence the empty store and people that used to go there only showing up in the parking lot to trade/sell stuff.... Reefbuzz is your own little world where you can swap lies, make up names, rename people on the forum that you don't like, along with a bunch of other childish stuff. Get over yourself, grow up, and get a clue about business - more imporantly life... Oh yeah, ban me while your at it. since you paid for this reefbuzz deal so you could have a captive audience for your lies - that way you'll feel like you have some CONTROL! lmao Do you ever wonder why Sonny doesn't post this crap on R2R/CMAS/WAMAS?!?!? Stephen July 13, 2009 July 13, 2009 Wow. Glad my business doesn't involve name calling, he/she said, and some of the drama concerning some issues people have wtih me on message forums. No offense Sonny. But some of the stuff I've seen happen between you and other "customers" on message forums doesn't really paint a positive picture. I personally haven't been to your store and I've only ordered from you once.... But IMO when I see a vendor catching so much flak and then lowering themselves a bunch of levels to resort to name calling and such it's not somewhere I'd like to spend my money. I understand you feel the need to defend yourself... I just personally think you could go about it in a bit more professional way.

The only people meeting in the parking lot was you and Bob and guess what you came in a spent $175.00 correct? Why lie about this? Empty Store? Anyone who has been here in the last 2 months knows that is a lie also. I would be highly surprised if you were open for another year or two. Especially with your attitude. Chad, we are the only store in the area doing a full Scale Farm. Trying to do the best for the hobby!!

Keep it civil, and post your experiences. We are not only here to only allow threads that see things through rose colored glasses, but back and forth calling each other liars ain't what we are about.
flowerseller July 13, 2009 July 13, 2009 Well, Not to pick sides but, When I was there on Wednesday to pick up two pieces I had won on ebay auctions he had, here is what I found. Lots of regular corals that were priced OK. As you would expect, some major stands outs that had better price tags, goes with the territory. Buy one, get one of equal or less value free. I took advantage of this. I got a $30 fair sized frag, and asked if I could get 2 $15 ones. He explained that was not the deal but said he would do it. The 2 auctions I won which included pictures, were easily as good as pictured, both of them. All the ORA's he claimed to have gotten had come in and, as I said on CMAS, "while I'm not a huge ORA guy", all the pieces he had gotten looked absolutely awesome, some were even larger than I had expected them to be or had seen elsewhere. He guessed it might have been since some may not have been selling as fast so grew larger. Seemed realistic. Had the ORA, buy 2 get one free sale been on when I was there, I likely would have bought. I had about a 2 hour round trip but he was willing to ship my corals as per the auction, but I wanted to go see my niece. I realize you've had a few incidents involving pics or what not but the travel time you spent going after a clam you saw a pic of what might be included and was not required to buy was in fact your choice and really has no fair reason to be in this issue. NONE! You saw what you bought so any reasonable person can't have a grudge with that issue. I, like many have not any issues and found it to be a nice place to visit. I too say what I feel is fair to both sides.

I simply asked a question of another member - if it was worth the 3 hour trip, SINCE Mr. Coral wouldn't/won't post pictures of the sps he said he had in that were super nice and well worth the trip, I was just wondering how nice or not so nice they really were. I WOULDN'T have had to ask if I trusted the vendors word. The bottom Line here is Chad is trying to do everything he can to hurt Mrcoral. Mr. Coral has done a GREAT job of that on its own. I am just posting my experiences. I have ALSO pmed Mr. Coral numerous times on various forums to help out when situations have arisen, stood up for him on forums - UNTIL I had personal experience that contradicted those things. It helped me find out which LFS's I wanted to support and find out the experiences different members had so I knew where I might want to travel to. Its a long drive for me to go to any of the fish stores around here. With that being the case, I think feedback, good or bad is very good from peoples PERSONAL experiences. This was and has/been my experience. I have not used ANY copyrighted material - JUST stuff I said and wrote. I also didn't like the feeling that the forum owner = Mr. Coral, started reading my pm's (since he can view them since he owns the forum) to regulate exchanges between customers. I changed my mind and decided enough is enough, and to just post it as my experience and response. The rest is not defamatory, or bad. Just my experience and how I feel about getting treated by a vendor in the area.

No store or proprietor is perfect and you may not like his sales tactics, but some of the things you posted are either untrue or grossly egsaturated. Hence the empty store and people that used to go there only showing up in the parking lot to trade/sell stuff.... If everyone is tired of his sales and "antics", why is his store jam-packed on days he advertises? I'd be willing to bet his store is one of the most profitable in the area. If you had a bad experience, just post the facts about what happened and let the forum decide if we should do business there. FWIW I have bought quite a bit from Sonny and almost always leave happy. His sales are designed to get you in the door, but his service is what gets me to come back.

This has nothing to do with the original issue but I do not think it is appropriate for you as a retailer to publicly post what Chad had spent at your store. I know I am now a little less likely to shop there becuase of it.

That's your choice since it's your money. People will have to make their own decisions. Some will love the place, and some will absolutely hate it. You can't make everyone happy.

By the way I never check him P'ms don't even know if that is possible another lie. The reason why I know customers are coming in telling me!! I have been warning him for the last month. He got banned now he is pissed!! Put yourself in my shoes. You have someone out there emailing my customers who mention they have been in the store. He Starts to ask question? What did you get what did he have? You know you spent to much of that I can get it cheaper for you. Then he just walks in like nothing ever happens on Monday then this? Not right. Last thing he said was Yes you took care of me. What has change? Posted on so many other boards. Bottom line is he is trying to hurt Mrcoral with lies. Frags not being there? Joke. Going to take Pics tonight of the frags he is saying we don't have. Should I put a newspaper right next to it to prove the date?Flat out lie.
Sikryd July 13, 2009 Author July 13, 2009 (edited) Just an FYI - I wasn't banned, I asked to be after posting that. I have NEVER told ANYONE that I can get them anything cheaper. I asked whether it was worth the drive. The only thing that changed was the pm sent to me from the vendor saying don't pm people asking whether it is worth the drive. Nobody is going to tell me what I can or can't say, except for the person I am pming. The only person to have a problem is the Vendor. FWIW - I NEVER received a pm from anyone saying they didn't like it. In fact the person I pmed and I went back and forth pming for awhile bsing about reefing. I posted on a couple forums that I frequent because I think it is valid imformation that should be passed in the hobby. If this was a blaringly beautiful post about how happy I was it would get the same treatment as always... Edited July 13, 2009 by Sikryd
