HowardofNOVA December 23, 2004 Share December 23, 2004 Fluidswitches are $9.50 for either NO or NC units Actsensors contacted me and is sending an email quote today Liquidlevel is $15.85 each. These only allow 1/16" drop before going on Krish, what is the link to the ebay units? I was unable to locate? I got a reply from paypal on floatswitches.com and basically said nothing. replied for more information. Anyother suggestions? Chip mentioned that Grangers? has these for around $15 each? HowardofNOVA December 23, 2004 Share December 23, 2004 Steven, Krish & Doug, You 3 seemed to be the most knowledgable of this subject? What would you recommend for the choices of the flow switches? Should we go with the $9.50 units for either NC or NO? Anyone have any luck reaching the flowswitch guy? Anyone who has ordered off of him lately, still have shipping info with possible phone contact info? No news from Actsensors yet or eBay on Flowswitches either. For the control boards, anyone want to take the lead on ordering the material that knows what they are ordering? If it's a go with the switches, I can order either next week or after the first, still should have them by the 9th, but will be close. We might want to push to the following weekend if that is so? dchild December 25, 2004 Author Share December 25, 2004 Howard I'll take care of the boards and components with the parts I mentioned earlier. I'll try to snag a couple extras of some of the parts. My mistake on the boards, it is Dec 27 I must order them by. I'll post the pattern in the gallery when I get it done. Merry Christmas from Colorado eveyone! krish December 27, 2004 Share December 27, 2004 Howard, Here is the link to the dude who is selling the stuff. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....08&rd=1 His last auction was for 5 units. We might be able to arrange a bulk purchase from him. The floatswitches.net domain was on the auction block a while ago for 50K. The guy was offering the patent as well for the switches. Oh well, looks like either no takers or probably the guy who purchased it is no good. -krish

dchild December 29, 2004 Author Share December 29, 2004 All right... I have done the board layout and posted it in the gallery set-up section. I should get the boards in the next few days. For a couple reasons I had to get 20 of them, and the unit price is right about $5. Here's my count so far: HowardofNOVA >head count so far? >Howard-2 >Doug-2 >Lee-2 >Jacob-2 >Krish- 2 >Stephen 1 >Chip-1 >Luke-1 >Kannan-1 >Total so far-14 also GaryL-2 I'm not sure about the number of float switches people need (remember our *highly* recommended setup is one board with 2 float switches) so I would appreciate if we could verify the number of boards vs the number of floats. I've already paid for the 20, so if you know anyone else who needs one, pls let me know. However, I'll only order the components for the number of people we need. I've added a 10A fuse and connectors to make it a complete package. So it looks like the complete board + electronics cost will be $5 (board) + @6 (components) + $1 (estimated divided shipping) = $13 I'd like to place the parts order Friday. Those in for 1 will get 1 set of components. Howard, Doug, Lee, Jacob, Krish and GaryL, can you please verify if you want one or two boards? HowardofNOVA December 29, 2004 Share December 29, 2004 ]]]bmp 2 Boards, 4 topoffs. Will anyone in the know on the topoffs give a stamp of approval on which one we should order? If the Chinese gent is ok, I can order 20 units on Monday? If not, we have the $9.50 units either NO or NC? Then there are the ones for $15.85 with s/h? PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR TOTALS? Topoffs $6 ea. Boards $13.00 ea. Anyone wanting in late, please waitlist for PCB setups or just order for Topoffs? I only need 1 setup, getting second for backup. Howard
dbartco December 29, 2004 Share December 29, 2004 I am only looking for the 2 floatswiches, not the pcb as I am using DC from another source and my own relay. I don't mind getting the more expensive ones as long as we can get them in. The all seem to be about the same in my opinion, just price differences, and who you trust. Caribbean Jake December 29, 2004 Share December 29, 2004 If you need two flow switches (one as back up) for one complete set up. The I need one set up = two flow switches.
HowardofNOVA December 29, 2004 Share December 29, 2004 Ok, I've done the update so far. Looking at 14+ PCB with 19+ Topsoffs so far. The Chinese gent has sold alot of the those units and rated 100% feeback so far for $5.00 plus about $10 shipping. I sent an email to one of the buyers to see what they have to say about service. If it comes back ok, I'm willing to order that unit. He has several varieties of this offered, is the standard one he is listing good to go for our needs? BTW, Anyone need rubber rings, odd plumbing parts, Fischers Hardware Store off Commerce St in Springfield VA has them. I needed a lost ring for my Turbofloater and they had them for about a buck each. Howard

krish December 30, 2004 Share December 30, 2004 Howard et all, Good job. Kudos that you are all able to find the time for getting this going. Here is my count. If the chinese order works fine, i will take 4 float switches. Regarding the PCB & Kit, i will go with 2 units. I can cover for Kannan who needs 2 float switches and 1 PCB + kit. Luke is out of town. I know the guy is running his pump on the float switch direct 110V. :-) Will reconfirm again. But he does want the float switches per my last conversation with him. -krish
craby December 30, 2004 Share December 30, 2004 Yes, Krish is right. Thanks Krish for calling this 110v issue to my attention. I would like to confirm that I will need 1 complete set up to include (1) PCB & kit and (2) float switches.
HowardofNOVA December 30, 2004 Share December 30, 2004 Ok, So if I'm correct with Stephen, everyone is confirmed for 24 topoffs and 14 PCB. I've got some confirmations from a buyer from the Chinese Gent on Ebay and seems ago. I'm going to wait until Monday and put in order then for 24 units. Will confirm price but should be about $6 a piece with s/h taken care of. If this is wrong or someone needs more please post? I'll check website Monday before I place the order. Hopefully we will have by weeksend. CONFIRM TOTALS! Topoffs $6 ea. Boards $13.00 ea.
