Yellow tangs eat valonia!

How come nobody ever mentioned...

I just put a coral on a rock in my display tank - and within 30 seconds, my yellow tang was eating the little green bubble algae off of it - and I mean with gusto! No wonder I don't have any valonia in my display tank - I thought it was the emerald crabs! He picked every speck of it off within minutes!

I bid $50.

Oh wait, this isn't in the auction forum? :)

I bid whatever DaveS wants plus $1. That's a valuable fish.

Are you saying that a yellow tang that eats valonia is 'out of the ordinary'?? I figured they all did - just that nobody had mentioned it.

Daddy trained him well.

Yes... this is the yellow tang I got from you. Thanks for bringing her up right!

The yellow and purple have an 'uneasy truce' ... as long as the purple stays in 'his area'. They are very food competitive. I think each is worried that the other will get bigger and stronger. But the 'Dorie' tang has now outgrown both of them - and is complete chow-hound in her own right.

Imagine our wives read these posts and their comments. :)

But these are our ways of fun after marriage.... Heheh.
