lanman December 26, 2008 Share December 26, 2008 How come nobody ever mentioned... I just put a coral on a rock in my display tank - and within 30 seconds, my yellow tang was eating the little green bubble algae off of it - and I mean with gusto! No wonder I don't have any valonia in my display tank - I thought it was the emerald crabs! He picked every speck of it off within minutes! bob

extreme_tooth_decay December 27, 2008 Share December 27, 2008 Maybe it's an emerald crab in disguise. I know from personal experience they are mean and sneaky. tim

I figured they all did - just that nobody had mentioned it. bob

lanman December 29, 2008 Author Share December 29, 2008 Daddy trained him well. Yes... this is the yellow tang I got from you. Thanks for bringing her up right! The yellow and purple have an 'uneasy truce' ... as long as the purple stays in 'his area'. They are very food competitive. I think each is worried that the other will get bigger and stronger. But the 'Dorie' tang has now outgrown both of them - and is complete chow-hound in her own right. bob
