Deltec AP600 Skimmer

I understand that the Deltec AP600 skimmer is probably the best skimmer money can buy for my 156G.

The best price I have found is $699.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion for another that does not cost as much and yet is almost just as good ?

you should look into Grey Seas aquatic skimmer. It is built by one of our own members, Dan Lichen. Several of our members have them.

Look at the Vendor Site (Blue Ribbon Koi), Johnny has a used one on sale now for $399. Rated for the low 200g tanks. Dan rates his tanks for heavily stocked, so you should be ok with that skimmer.

I recommend the Reeflo 200 skimmer. It is pricey but well worth the investment.

go with John's suggestions both are the ones you should stick with or maybe even spend more and get a bubble king from BRK.
