National Aquarium in D.C. - Social

I was wondering if anyone from the Anne Arundel area is going to the social tomorrow. Possibly could car pool.

 

Does anyone know if there is parking there easily?

Parking is not easy, street parking is pretty much not existant and parking garage parking lot parking is time consuming bomb inspection etc.

I've heard the metro stop is right there near the aquarium, so we're metroing in. sounds like easiest way on a Saturday.

Really?? I'm sure there are plenty of other parking garages in the vicinity aren't there? Ones that wouldn't require inspection of every vehicle.

Parking is free at the metro stops on weekends. I usually park outside of town and metro in. Of course, then you'll have to carry that cooler full of frags back on the metro......

We're bringing small coolers and we're wearing backpacks for Metro travel! Really excited about frags we're getting.

I'm planning on going; I'm in Cape Saint Clair, just down RT 2 from you. I was planning on driving to New Carrolton and ridding the metro in. The metro stops just about a block from the DC Aquarium it

There's street parking if you can find it, and there's a parking garage across the street in the Ronald Reagan building (I think that's the one). Parking is not difficult, in my experience, they check the car, but there's not going to be a long line to get in there at that time of the day. Maybe in the AM when people are getting to work, but not at 5 on a Saturday.
