Leishman April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 I'm posting this here so non-members can see one more reason to cough up $20 and join the club I want to get this "Cashless Auction" over with ASAP and get the 10 frags out to the winner. I initially said 2 posts/person, 100th post wins. I know it's my auction, but I want to solicit approval to up the posts/member to 3. If I get positive response on the post bump, I'll amend the auction tonight or tomorow. Who's with me in moving this thing forward.....? Not a member? Can't see the thread in question? Cough up the $20 to join, you could walk away with ~$200+ worth of frags Good luck
wreck April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 I'm in, I've been keeping an eye on the cashless auction since it started. Let the sniping begin. Wreck
ErikS April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 If you wanted it fast = limitless Three should do, most (*cough* me) were holding the second post..........
wreck April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 If you bump up the number of posts to 3, maybe you should make a 2 post limit after post #90. That way people won't just hold on to 3 posts until the end and at least make one post to get things going quicker. Thanks for the entertainment. Wreck
dbartco April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 keep it at 2! I will delete those who already put #3 in the other thread. I KNOW of a bunch that are out there to snipe this one. They are taking this as a war of attrition.
HowardofNOVA April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 Keep the same, will shoot you later for coming up with this PITA!!!
amay121 April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 Well, I was gonna try to get a group of folks together to share in the bounty. Oh well now. j/k.
gastone April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 (edited) Keep it at 2. I'm still hoping that no one wins. G. Edit: I changed my mind. Let's go with 3 votes. I'll be selling my remaining two votes for $10 each. Edited April 24, 2008 by gastone
tonkadawg April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 so is it 2 or 3 posts? I see people are posting in the thread for a second time (assuming you get 3 posts), but I haven't seen where it was decided to bump up to 3 posts.
treesprite April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 please keep it at two. I have been holding out on both of mine but I'll go ahead and throw one in the ring today. Maybe there should be an additional rule that 2 posts not be closer then X amount of time together... my holding out was kind of related to that issue.
MLazar April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 Keep it at 2. I'm still hoping that no one wins. G. Edit: I changed my mind. Let's go with 3 votes. I'll be selling my remaining two votes for $10 each. G, I think you should auction your votes on the "Auction Forum"............ Maureen
FishWife April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 Two is good for me; but whatever... it's YOUR giveaway! No one should argue with you no matter what; but we need it to be clear. Maybe :::ducking::: start over with moderators' help in deleting previous thread? Call it the "Fresh Start" cashless auction?
treesprite April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 actually adding a third vote might make it take longer depending on people's mindsets
Highland Reefer April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 (edited) I'm for three. That would put me back in. On, the other hand sometimes self sacrifices are good for the soul. Edited April 24, 2008 by Highland Reefer
treesprite April 24, 2008 April 24, 2008 SO what is the actual number of posts so far that count toward the 100 posts? Are there some non-countable posts on there? ALSO, doesn't editing a post invalidate it in an auction? Would those posts then need to be subtracted from the 100? Would the person who made them be giving him/herself a chance at an additional post just by editing one that was already made if that post was invalidated due to editing?
dbartco April 25, 2008 April 25, 2008 A note to all 2 posts in succession WILL be merged together by the board if time is very close together! Don't try and save your 2 for #99 and #100. I WILL NEVER WORK! Nothing we can do about that.
